who will have the bigger impact next year as a post player? this seems to be a huge question to me. Strickland or Quadri Moore?

I think they will both back-up DeBerry at center so it will be hard to say. If either have the ability to play the four that could give one the edge over the other for pt. Both have upside but both are completely unknowns at this level. Moore came in more highly touted but that could be solely because he came in injury-free. Strickland has a couple of years on Moore and has had the luxury of working out at UC for a whole year so his body might be a lot stronger. It isn't out of the realm of possibilities that either of the two emerge over DeBerry either as he is an unknown as well, just not as much being a juco. I think whoever is strong enough to play down there adn grab rebounds and who can stay out of foul trouble the best will have the best chance to distance himself from the others. Honestly though I could see a 20-10-10 split between DeBerry and Moore and Strickland for minutes.

deberry has heavy feet though and I don't really like his touch around the rim. His size is obviously his strength but I think he will need to become more smooth to play for our cats.

deberry will play the majority of the 5. Lawrence is going to get a lot of playing time and the first person off the to bench to replace a big will be clark and Lawrence will stay on the floor. so you are going to see a lot of Lawrence and clark down low this year. I'm not expecting to much out of Strickland and moore this year, although I think they could be good. If anyone is going to redshirt next year it will be moore.

It's not like it used to be guys you saw this year when we played 2 pf's together at the same time. It makes your team a lot more athletic although it could get you trouble on the boards. But there is not doubt that's the way Cronin wants to play. Unlike last year clark and Lawrence can hit a shot from 12 feet out so offensively that will help. Defensively however will be much different with out a devastating shot blocker. It's hard to tell with clark if he will be a good shot blocker because of the competition he was playing against. But Lawrence is a decent shot blocker.

Deberry will get the most minutes out of moore, Strickland and deberry no doubt

hopefully deberry will be in proper condition. He wasn't receiving high minutes this past year. He is a bruiser though I can give him that.

shaq clark and Lawrence all on the court at once is going to be one tough press to beat. these guys can cover ground with the best of them!

yeah to me that would be our best line up with any guards in the game those three would be lob city in cin city

what do you think of this possible starting lineup? 1.Troy 2. Morman(KJ will be better off the bench in my opinion)3. Shaq. 4. Clark 5. Lawrence.......I really think we can get away with this starting lineup in the American next year. I understand those three guys are skinny but they are freak athletes that will get bigger this off season. Obviously what I just said doesn't involve a single TRUE postplayer but I think it is very possible. If mick chooses to go small it will allow us create some big mismatches on the court. In the old big east we would get drilled with this type of lineup but hey those days are over with.

this is if we add zero players for the upcoming season.....torian obviously would start at sg if we land him

Lawrence showed at times that he was able to guard the center position and he wasn't even fully healthy

Deberry (most likely), Strickland, or Moore will start at the 5. Bet the house on that one. Unless there is a weird match up it will be unlikely to see Lawrence play the 5. Mick said multiple times this season he didnt want Jermaine playing there because he was playing out of position but had no choice because of the depth issue. When you see Gary and Jermaine on the floor at the same time more than likely one of them will be playing the 3.

so you don't think we can have all 3 of them on the floor at once? I feel we would be at an advantage with all 3 on the court at the same time.

DeBerry will likely get the most minutes because of the JUCO experience (much like Rubles started much of the season his first year). Caupain, Johnson, Thomas, Lawrence and DeBerry is the line-up I'd like to see however it is likely that Guyn will start over Johnson.

I see moore as a 4 because simply he's just not tall enough to be a center.

guyn doesn't deserve to play more than 10 minutes a game. I don't care how dedicated he is to mick and the team he's just not any good simple as that. he is an average to below average MAC player.
