Game is Saturday at 12 PM EST on ESPNU.

We all know what happened the first time. Probably our worst game of the season.

Temple is 3-2 in AAC. They blew a 6 point halftime lead and lost by 2 @ Memphis last night. They also lost by 27 to Houston. Wins are over us, @ UConn and vs ECU.

I'm guessing we'll be -5.

UC 67
Temple 58

Temple is a bad basketball team with a good coach, we're a good basketball team with a bad coach..........I think our better players find a way to win this game.

UC - 75

Temple - 62

There you go Jake. This is our next must win game. If this team scores 77 against us on Saturday I'll break my TV. Philly kids are tuff!! We got to be tougher. No way we can go 0-2 against this group.

Bearcats 308th in adjusted tempo
Temple 327th

Yet, they just played to 77-70.... will anyone miss a shot this time around? Probably

Not sure who else saw that finish last night, but they tied the game with 2 seconds left after they had been fouling to stop the clock. Memphis threw it in and a Temple kid immediately fouled him with 1 second left... I'm pretty sure he thought they were still behind and fouling. Ouch

The early game time on the road always scares me. Still, I think we will win this time around. I just don't see them shooting 50% against us again.

Are they still the worst shooting team in the AAC?

oh, man - people here would crucify mick for one of his kids making that mistake.

.....and rightfully so. Listen, we all praised him and praised him back in November. When he does positive things, he earns positive comments. It's a fan site. Some will love him, some will not love him. You love him now. Me...not so much. But, when we get that Elite 8 or better this year, he'll be "Da Man"! That's where I thought we were headed in November, and some ESPN analysts were touting us as a Final 4 contender. Not hearing that talk anymore, but I'm not dropping my expectation. The talent is there. Players are playing worse than we know they can play. It's the head coach's job to draw it back out of them.

I clean the slate with Mick every year and start fresh right around the same time he tells everyone how the upcoming season is going to be different and we're going to play a different style than the previous year.

Every year right around the mid point of the season I fall back into my usual disdain for all things Mick Cronin. Don't blame me, blame him.

There's no doubt I'm glass half empty when it comes to UC basketball, only because I've been conditioned to think that way over the last 10 years. I'll be more optimistic when our coach gives me a reason to be.

^^^^^^
Amen!

We are a worse shooting team then Temple in conference play. We are averaging 65.4 points and shooting 39.9% from the field in 5 league games.

I really hate to mention this but I will. it would be nice if for once more of the calls went in our favor then the opposition. The last few weeks especially we are constantly ending up on the wrong end of calls. Am I being a homer or is three some validity to my observation? Even last night I thought the ref's missed some obvious calls.

The bad calls last night were really bad. I'm sure fans both ways can point to a few iffy things per game. But Evans block, Caupain's charge, and the travel on Houston where I think it was Gray who fell down with the ball, were really bad.

There is some truth to it. That charge on Caupain last night might be the worst call I've seen all season long. The guy wasn't even close to being outside the restricted arc.

Last night Evans block was the only problem I had, they got away with a travel and we got away with one. Everything else I had no problem, the home team is always going to boo at calls against them which make it seem like we wernt getting calls, but even the Clark foul last night if you watch it, he is straight up, but he gets pushed from behind by Ellis so Clark initiates the contact and to me that's a foul.

There really wasn't the disparity in the number of fouls last night like in the few games previous to that one. I think against SMU we only shot 4 FT's and 2 of them were in the last 2 minutes. In the day of no hand checking that is incredible.

Would you credit this more to the refs or that we really don't drive to the basket too much?
