I may be glib but I'm really perplexed by the zone. I understand we aren't superb at M2M with this group, but Temple shoots the hell out of the 3. They aren't deep...I thought we might try to run them down by dogging the hell out of them. Darnit!

Here's my opinion from watching the 1st half of tonight's game and the last couple as well:

1. Kevin Johnson gets entirely too much playing time. He's above average defensively and can hit the 3 but is WAY too turnover prone for a 2 guard. Cobb should be getting bulk of playing time at the 2 not the 1. Its not ideal because of the lack of a real backup PG but minutes can be shifted around to make it work with TC getting some rest.

2. Troy Capuain needs to realize he's a damn good offensive player. He's been our most consistent knock down 3 point shooter and has been very good at getting to the basket. He looks tenative and took quick to bypass open looks to be a pass first PG.

3. DeShaun Mormon needs to get more playing time as well. He is our best perimeter defender and a great finisher/slasher. I understand he doesn't have a jumpshot in his game yet but you tell the kid if he takes one under any circumstance he sits period.

4. Okay this one I may catch some flack for. Quadri Moore needs more time and the cats need him to be on the floor more. He is a 6'8"-6'9" PF with range to the 3 point line. Yes he is raw defensively, yes he will turn the ball over... BUT he will score when on the floor and when Gary Clark isn't on the floor he can fill in nicely on the offensive end.

What's with these BS shots they're making? Basketball gods giveth and taketh away :( this is the taketh away part :(
