Game is Tuesday night at 7 PM on ESPN3. Local?

Texas Southern is 4-5...Wins @Deleware State (74-61), @Rice (71-68), @LaSalle (77-76), and @James Madison (67-56). Losses @UT-Arlington (89-82), @Louisiana-Lafayette (84-73), @Arizona (85-63), @Southern Illinois (74-70), and @Louisville (102-71). They have lost 4 straight.

They are #170 in KenPim. #115 AdjO #227 AdjD #274 AdjT.

Can't get a feel for this spread. -18 maybe?

Texas Southern 58
UC 79

Just enjoy these then once Eggzavier comes will be watching Kyle and Jacob to see what they have.

I'll be at the game. I'm really not looking for much other than continuing to develop the bench. We know what the starters can do, but they need to do it in the big games

Ill be there as well.

Quick info on Texas Southern:

* Really good offensive rebounding team: #15 in the country in offensive rebounding percentage. 6'7 Soph Derrick Griffin is ranked #6 overall in the country in offensive rebounding as well 7'0 senior Marvin Jones being another good ORB guy for Texas southern

* Defense is terrible: ranked 225 nationally and is allowing 77ppg. An offensively challenged team like Louisville, put up their biggest point output on them last week.

* Not a good 3 point shooting team but are an decently efficient offense. Offense is ranked #115 in efficiency.

* Dulani Robinson could be a problem: is 5'8 Senior who shoots over 40% from 3 and has an ORTG of 116. Usually the kind of player that gives us Trouble.

And Im saving this next one for last:

26 Rebounds: Derrick Griffin had 26 rebounds against Louisville. 15 of those rebounds were offensive. That is a beast of a man to do that kind of work on any level in college. And he is just 6'7. His 7'0 front court mate (only 220 pounds though) helps on the boards as well. Texas Southern MISSES A LOT.. But if they have a one man wrecking crew down there to clean it up (and then miss again). Gary, Kyle, Tre, Quad and Nysier have their work cut out for them.

EDIT...

Obviously I dont follow Texas Soutthern Basketball.
Im starting to wonder if the louisville game has made their outragiously good Offensive rebounding numbers look a little skewed.

As a team they had 30 offensive rebounds in that one game. And Louisville had 28 themselves. Thats a enough there to skew a few games worth of data.

They rebounded 56% of their misses and LOU rebounded 60% of their misses.

what the F kinda game was that????

One which resulted in both coaches spending 1/2 the next practice on boxing out drills!! LOL!

I seriously had to go and double check Kenpom's site was correct. Thats insane.

That said, Derrick Griffen could be a high major Basketball player if he wanted to transfer.

He is the preseason POY and DPOY.

Could see him getting high major offers if he ever decided to transfer. Rebounding like that against good teams is pretty damn tough

Looking at their schedule, they have 4 road wins, which is how many wins they have. Even worse they don't play a home game until January 14.

They are probably going to win their conference. Look at this current stretch they are in: @Arizona, @SIU, @Louisville, @Cincinnati, @LSU, @TCU, and @Baylor.

Jon Rothstein: Two dangerous games tonight for home teams: Texas Southern at Cincinnati and Monmouth at Memphis. Two capable mid-majors hitting the road.

He gets these right more often than not including last week, Butler @ Indiana State game. He's not saying we will lose and I don't think we will either just meaning might be a little tougher than we think. We shall see.

Their 5'7 PG will be a problem for us. That guy is crazy fun to watch but will be annoying tonight. Even if he doesn't score, please believe be will create something. He could easily keep things interesting...

Question, I have tickets for the game, upper level row 7. I saw they are allowing general admission to the student section this week since the students are gone. Can I trade my tickets for those student section tickets? How does that work?

I have 2 free tickets to tonight's game if anyone wants them, scored lower level for 18 a piece

Section 221 bench seats . Directly center court tho
