Last year Thomas was getting the starts but Evans was usually closing out the games. They were basically splitting minutes before Thomas went down.

I would like to see something similar develop with KJ and Cumberland (minus the injury). It didn't hurt that Evans was a pretty good defender so not sure if Cronin will opt for KJ in end of game situations.
The picture will be clearer as the season moves forward. First if Jaron continues to play well he will get minutes at the 2 and 3. It will also depend on the game situation. What's needed. Certainly if I need a stop KJ will be on the floor. I guess my point is many things go into who is on the floor. Part of Jaron minutes came because Evans was hurt. Let's put it this way if Jaron continues to play well and push his way on the floor it can only be good for the team. Same can be said for any of the guys on the bench. The moat impressive thing about last nights game was the play of the bench.

Keeping Cumberland down low in the zone at all times is ideal. Even if he's in with Evans. He was down there all night last night except on a couple switches. Maybe that's always been the case though and I haven't been paying close enough attention to all his minutes.

Very nice to see him react positively to coaches decision. Think about this if the leading scorer and a upper class men can be sat down for failure to practice hard or play hard it has to send a big message to rest of the locker room. Just as Klyes handling of the situation also had to be seen as a reminder that sulking is not the answer either.

Also nice to see Moore rewarded for his practice habits. It's obvious the kid did a lot of work over the summer. His physical conditioning is very apparent. I really think he is trying to do better and seeing him on the bench when coach pulled him a few games back I felt sorry for him. Nice to see he is still battling.

If you notice during the media availability, quadri is always the first one out there taking shots before a lot of the players are there.

This is why his teammates cheer him on, they know how are he works, and they want it to translate to the game.

Honestly I would like to see Cumberland get some time at the 4.

Xavier has a 6'5 guy play the 4 and it usually poses matchup nightmares. You can do stuff like that if your 6'5 guy is strong, wide bodied and can rebound really well. I think Jarron can do those things.

Obviously it wouldn't be a full time thing but i think it would be cool try a lineup of Washington, Cumberland, Evans, TC and Jenifer. And let Clark & KJ gets some rest.

Evans is a good rebounder too. That'd be interesting.
