It's hard for me to get used to not seeing Yancy in a UC uniform next year, but I really hope he stays involved with the program because anything we do the next few years are largely his doing. Let's never forget that of all the kids we complain about leaving the Cincy area, Yancy was a top 25 national recruit and stayed home over some huge name programs. This was at a time we were winning like 2 BE games. He will go down as one of the biggest reasons why UC bounced back to national prominence in 5 years this cycle rather than 20 or 30 the last time UC was down. He is quite possibly my favorite bearcat of all time.

It was a weird and at times strange 4 years with them but there is no doubt they lifted the program up to a higher level. Still got more room to go. Certainly havent peaked.
When Dixon and Gates were coming to UC we were a 13-win team. They won 18 in their freshman year. They won 26 in their senior year and got to the Sweet 16.
All the credit isn't theirs but they have left an indelible mark on this program and moved it 6 steps ahead.

I am going to miss these guys for sure. At times, you wanted to pull your hair out. At other times, they were great. At all times, they were ours and were the ones that came here when it wasn't cool to come to UC. They grew up as players and people in a UC uniform and we can be proud of both of them. We all need to remember next year that Cash came in with them too. He is a big part of this rebuild as well. If not for his knee injury as a freshman, we would be losing him too. Will be great to have Cash back next year!

Agree with everyone. Gates and Dixon poured out sweat and tears for this team and us fans and it has been greatly appreciated. Sure there were frustrating times in the heat of battle where we all yelled or cursed these guys, but in reflection we watched two young players come in and give their all to be Bearcats. You will both be missed and will forever be a fellow Bearcat!
You absolutely have to respect both for coming to UC coming off a 2-14 Big East season. With that being said it is kind of fitting that both of them were invisible last night, Dion had his highs in the FSU game but was just so inconsistent, Yancy shined all BET and against UT and FSU..but he was equally inconsistent his entire career. Good luck to them both.

I applaud both for staying in school and getting their degrees. Listening to both talk over the past month shows they have matured into men and will do well in life. Good luck gentlemen.

Thank you for all of the memories Dion and Yancy. While we all would have wished for a longer goodbye, no one can take away the great time we had watching your deep run in the dance. You both have raised the bar for the others. I wish you the best of luck. Again, thank you.
Julie, a year ago when UC was 6-6 in the Big East you stated you were done with UC.

You are such a troll! Can't you find anything to do with your life aside from manning 4 ids on a computer forum? Come on. Feed the pigeons or something. And Julie is a much more respectful fan of UC basketball than you will ever be.
I have the sneaky suspicion that Amberely and Julie are one and the same person.
