Some call him a villain, others don't harbor any resentment. Whichever camp you reside in, it's hard to say he didn't have a great impact on Cincinnati football. Looking at some past classes, it looks to me like UC is on a much better plane than where we were even four years ago.

Here are the star rankings from this year (thus far), and some past numbers when Kelly first took over. The first number is star ranking, and the second is number of recruits ranked at that level.

2010
4 star...1
3 star...10
2 star...7

2007
4 star...0
3 star...6
2 star...16

2006
4 star...0
3 star...1
2 star...17
(one commit wasn't rated I believe)

This after UC lost not just Kelly and most of the coaching staff, but Massa, most likely James, and Boston. Yet still, I foresee BJ continuing what BK did at UC, and garner attention and committments from more skilled players.

I also like how BJ is continuing the Florida trend and continue to recruit in that area. It's critical that UC gets the speed to compete with the likes of Oklahoma and USF alike.
