I mean Brannen has been pretty bad so far. I thought Brannen was the right hire, but let's be honest, at this point I've become skeptical. Can't blame Justin who was already skeptical for being critical when thus far all his worst fears have been confirmed.

At the very least Brannen gets the remainder of this season, let's see what he can do. It doesn't look pretty so far, but maybe he can turn it around.

Our returning players seem to have been developed worse, we play worse defense, turn it over more, shoot worse from 3 and rebound worse. Our players seem to weaker both mentally and physically and have lost the identity of a tough hard-nosed team.

That's not a lot to get excited about. I wanted Cronin to stay, but I'm ready to embrace Brannen. But he needs to show us improvement, development, something to believe we will get better in the future.

So far Eason and Davenport are all I have to get excited about. I'd like to see more, 2 good players out of 10+ is not much.

To me this team lacks toughness.

In general you can tell if a player is tough from the moment you see them.

You don’t develop it over time. It’s in you,

I don’t see it in many players that brannen brought aside from Davenport and Eason.

Also I wouldn’t say Eason is tough. He’s skilled. Don’t need to play tough cronin ball to win games. That’s one way but not the only way. I never thought of Gonzaga as tough. North Carolina as tough. Not everything is cronin ball. Just need them to be good at basketball.

How many games did UC win in the past 8 years where uc shot under 40% and won.

When this uc teams shoots under 40% it gets run out of the gym.


I don’t harp on guys like Keith & jarron because these are guys who chose to be loyal to the program and are trying to adapt to a different play style.

Vogt and rap chose to come play for brannen. Brannen chose them. So it’s different.


The fact is mick Cronin hold over players are the only thing that kept UC from being under 500 and if we are over 500 this year, it will be large part because Keith got it rolling.

Also... we all know we have no players signed for 2020..

So we know it’s from the transfer market.

Butttt... does anything about brannen’s transfer pick ups in the last two years make you really think he’s gonna hit home runs?

Sorolla: trash/slow/ditched us
Vogt: slow/ineffective now/bad rebounder
Rap: turnover machine/slow
DJD: still TBD... so far he’s not been a winning player or made winning plays

Gonzaga was nothing. So yes it takes time to build from nothing. But uc is a basketball brand that’s already established.

Wether it’s an established program or not, it take time. Maybe not as long and If I’m a joke for wanting to give the guy a fair shake and not judge a recruiting class after 6 games. I’ll be that joke every time.

A lot of people I’m seeing saying everything is the coaches fault, which is fair, were not saying that after the Nevada game or any other match collapse we had. I remember them defending that coach. Weird

What’s the solution? The man struggled against teams last year we blow out previous years by 25. I’ll take the rocks fights over getting beat by 20 to UGA
