I usually just hang around the recruiting stuff in the offseason.
looks like there is a lot of pressure of Sanders now
I always saw him on the building side more than the wrecking side.
If we are going to have a "glue guy" I sincerely hope it is Caupain. Our seniors and junior just haven't been that type of personality. We are losing Lawrence as it seems so we have two guys left with Bearcat experience and one of them is a PG, he's exciteable, he's smart, he seems pretty calm in tough situations, he can can FT's, he runs the offense, etc etc etc. Johnson doesn't seem like the leader type right now...and we would rather have the floor general be our leader.

Ellis will have a limited adjustment. He will now be critical next season.

I hope he can be like Cheikh Mbodj without the foul trouble. Hopefully he is also a little more polished offensively this time around and can help us improve our rebounding.

Best case scenario for Ellis, he is a team leader and captain his SR year. I say that bc a big part of being a leader is controlling the emotions that come with pressure. This kid has been through a lot. I'd be so happy if he was the glue, and a rock for the younger guys to look up to. He knows what's at stake and knows what it takes to be a Bearcat. His work ethic and accountability could really rub off on the newcomers.
Just for reference. What was cheikh averaging in juco. What was rubles averaging in juco?

Octavius Ellis-14.8 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 3 blocked shots pg
Cheikh Mbodj-14.6 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.2 blocked shots pg
Titus Rubles-14.8 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.2 blocked shots per game
Ellis will probably be a better rebounder than Cheikh, but they both have similar shot-blocking skills and I'm hoping Ellis will end up being more polished offensively than Mbodj.
Watched highlights from Ellis this year at Trinity, haven't seen him make not one jumper also doesn't shoot them either. He's not go be anybody's leader at any point in next two years. Still has anger problems and has to be kinda pushed at told where to go every other possession. Going to be bigger JJ but much less quicker. Didn't see handle ball that much either. He's going to come close to setting single season block.record in next two years. Displays elite shot blocking ability and above average rebounding skills. Reminds me a lot like Donald little also.
Typically a mid range jumper is not considered a highlight. With that said, I'm sure that's not one of Ellis' strengths based on his ft %, but he did shoot a high percentage from the floor, so I believe he''ll get put backs and baskets in transition.
