This one on Mick?

Mick didn't go 7-31 on 2 point shots. Mick didn't get killed on the boards. They had open shots. The inside players and shooting lost this game. It's always funny to me how you pop up after a loss and disappear when the team wins.

Fact. This game goes on the bigs, zero question about it.

Ready2Go is a xavier fan imo. He wants UC to lose.

Let's face it. Syracuse outclassed UC.

Nova and Cuse are top programs and MC is just now starting to beat teams we should be.

Let's not as fans get ahead of ourselves. Especially since road games in the BE are tough whether it's Seton Hall, Pitt, or Gtown.

Fact.

The names on the jerseys change. The one consistent has been Mick.

Fact.

His teams seem to always have scoreless droughts in big games. That cannot happen!

Your players cannot come out to play the 2nd half intimidated. Missing easy layups is a lack of consentration. Get them the hell out then! If you can't motivate them. Good coaches find ways to light a fire under their players. Each player is different and its up to Mick to find that connection.

Like LL said, under Huggins if you cant get them to play, then dont play

I agree 100%. They've lost two games to teams in the top 10 who virtually never lose on their home floor. But that doen't mean you shouldn't do some things to get better starts and shake your team up.

Whats your deal?

We get your a Huggins fan, as am I. But every loss, does not go on Micks shoulders, it simply doesnt. When UC loses you resort to Mick. Simply not realistic.

Im not sold on Mick, but im level headed enough to realize that he has done some things right, as im sure wrong. It seems as tho you enjoy bashing mick more then UC winning.

I would say most of us were Huggs fans. I am, watch every game WVU plays if I can and cheer for Huggs in every game but the Cincinnati game.

If you're gonna slam Mick when the team loses, come on here when it wins and give him credit. Again, this team is 16-2 and only a handful of people believed they'd be any good at all. Lot of games left and this team is currently in a reasonably good place.

I've brought up Bob Huggins on one thread dude. I didnt think he could coach the big game either. But, one thing you didnt see with him was players not prepared to play a game.

Missing easy layups is preparation. Those guys were playing scared. Scared Rick Jackson was going to put their shot through the back board. You cant have your players playing timid. Thats FACT. No matter what sport.

Its never more evident then when your "TEAMS" consistently do it. From Adam H, to Toyloy to Gates and Thomas, something is not right! The common denominator, if they teach that at MSJ has been Mick

Was even a thread after one game about what Id have to say went wrong. Greatone started and I pointed out the good. But you cant get better unless you critique. Thats with any job

You know what... you guys are right

But the Athletic Department better contact Pitt and Georgetown and let them know UC wont be coming, because its a tough place to win at. So prob shouldnt waste all that time and money if UC is going to lose

Mick actually had a nice gameplan to enter the ball in the post. We got the ball where we wanted on the floor, pretty much all game. We were intimidated around the basket and missed too many wide open shots.

Everyone wants to put this on Gates and Thomas but remember this. Both players have been playing against vastly inferior post men all season and may have gotten a bit lazy in the process. I put this on the poor OOC schedule.

No way. They already played 4 Big East games before the Cuse game and they both played in the Big East last year and played a bunch of minutes. The OOC schedule is nothing more than a convenient excuse.

You put this on the tee so I'm going to hit it. I will say again, over the last 3 games Gates and Thomas have a combined average of 10.3 points and 9.3 rebounds a game. All the OOC did was allow them to get by with their bad habits, it didn't make them lazy. They don't box out. They don't post strong. They get pushed out of the box underneath, They don't weakside rebound. They play 12 feet out from the basket. They both want to play like small forwards and they're not. Even against Xavier Gates was hitting shots from outside. I think Yancy has the potential to be first team Big East. But he has to realize he is 6'10" and 260 pounds. Eric Hicks or Jason Maxiell would have eaten these two alive and neither has the natural gifts that Yancy Gates has and were three inches shorter. Heart and effort are huge in high level athletics, as well as understanding what your strengths are. Yancy hasn't come to this realization yet. The light came on with his conditioning. Let's hope it does with him applying his physical gifts as well.
