SMU now holds the tie-breaker over UConn by virtue of a series sweep. This loss makes it difficult for UConn to get out of the 4/5 game. They are now 2 games back of SMU, and 3 back of UC/UofL.

(2) Louisville vs (7)Rutgers/(10)Temple

If UC wins out I think they will win the league by a game. Unfortunately, I think both UC/UL will lose one more.

It would be nice to have Memphis on the opposite side of the bracket since the tournament is on their home court.

I am starting to favor getting the 2 seed given SMU as the 3 seed. Playing Rutgers/Temple and SMU is an easier road than USF/UCF and UConn/Memphis...

No changes in the seeding, USF holds tie-breaker of UCF...
Here are the schedules for the top 5 teams:

Connecticut (10-5)- vs. SMU(L), @ South Florida(W), vs. Cincinnati, vs. Rutgers, @ Louisville.

Memphis (10-4)- @ Houston, vs. Louisville, @ Cincinnati, vs. SMU

SMU (11-4)- @ Connecticut(W), vs. UCF, vs. Louisville, @ Memphis

Cincinnati (13-2)- @ Connecticut, vs. Memphis, @ Rutgers

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Standings:
1 Cincinnati (13-2)
2 Louisville (12-2)
3 SMU (11-4)
4 Memphis (10-4)

(2) Louisville vs (7)Rutgers/(10)Temple

Louisville takes over the #1 seed with their win over Temple (better winning% vs SMU), UConn takes the #4, Memphis the #5. Houston probably locked up the 6 seed by beating Memphis tonight.

If we end up tied with Louisville, I'm not gonna be too upset with the 2 seed since it appears that the 3 seed won't be Memphis at this point. We still share the conference title, there is no notation that we were the 2 seed, and we won't have the possibility of playing Memphis on their home court, unless it's in the final which means we wouldn't see Louisville again.

Yep. I said it earlier, much rather play SMU/Houston (I wouldn't be surprised of UH pulls the upset, playing good ball recently) then UConn/Memphis. I noticed the same was true in the Big East for years, the #2 seed almost always had a better draw then the #1...

No changes in the standings. UofL still holds tie-breaker over UC, UConn holds tie-breaker over Memphis, USF holds tie-breaker over UCF.

Good thread over on the Louisville board about the chances to get the #1 seed. ----->LINK

Cincinnati is locked into the #1 or #2 seed (provided they beat Rutgers).

To me it doesn't matter as long as we win a share of the conference. We will have a tough second game no matter what.

We kind of have some middle ground now! Houston beat USF last night to get to 8-9 and locked up the 6 seed, with the loss by USF...Rutgers clinches the 7 seed.

Current Standings:
1 Louisville (13-3)
2 Cincinnati (13-3)
3 SMU (12-4)
4 Connecticut (11-5)
5 Memphis (11-5)
6 Houston (8-9)**
7 Rutgers (5-11)**
8 South Florida (3-14)
9 Central Florida (3-14)
10 Temple (3-14)

Big game tonight with SMU hosting Louisville.

Oh man how nice would it be to finish in first and play the winner of USF vs. UCF in the first round of the tournament. They just aren't as tough as Temple with that damn Pepper kid would could hit 15 3s on us or Rutger's who just play a good offensive game.

SMU tickets are an all time high right now. That crowd is going to be more amped than ever before. It burned us hopefully it burns UL.
