Some nice Cats highlights on ESPNU.
Is it just me or is TC really developing a really nice euro step to the hoop? He. Had a nice one today splitting two defenders.
Yes he did. TC has a nice skill set. He isn't a shake and bake guy or someone that can create for himself off the dribble but strength allows him to protects the ball and rebounds as good as many of the so called elite PG in college. If he had a 2 guard that had a more well rounded game he would be even more effective. He kind of got stuck with the go to role last year. This year there are many more options.Caupain and Evans are both great with their footwork in transition and it really helps them finish. Caupain played with strength today.
Watching on mute at the bar has its advantages...Lol!
thanks for posting Jake.
Too funnyThese are CYO officials they did my niece's game last week. I'm almost positive.
So glad Mick let KW play with three fouls early in the second half. He has to learn to play with fouls. We need him on the floor as an offensive threat or at least a decoy. He has to learn to play 10 minutes if he has four fouls that could happen in the tourney.Good win. Refs were a bit too whistle happy but a 17 point win with some starters in serious foul trouble most of the game is more than satisfactory. Glad some bench guys got minutes in a conference road game, that's rare.
On to Eggs.
Haven't read back through and dunno if it's been said yet or not... but guys, 17-2, 7-0 in the conference and on a ten game win streak. I'm loving it.
Let's get Moore some starting minutes
Moore can provide offensive spark off the bench but his defense is still whack.
He helped against Tulane and I really root for the guy but I cringe when he comes in in big moments. Against @temple he did some scoring but was also allowed 8 points on the defensive end to basically finish out even.
He is not a plus player. He is at best an even player and at worst a minus player. I hope more than anyone he gets better at defending
Good points I agree with your assessment. The intriguing thing about him is our players are usually the other way around (Good defense and bad offense). Our coaches stress defense because this is a constant which can be brought to every game and because let's face it a lot of our players have sucked on the offensive end. Quadry has some offensive talents that you can't teach and these talents can benefit our team. Mick needs to build on this from yesterday and I think he will but stress the defensive side to the kid.
I did read a quote from Quadry that was really humble on his part something like "Tulane was definitely not gameplanning for me and this made it much easier". This quote tells me something about the kid I like.
IT'S ***QUADRI***. Lol.
And what does the bolded part mean? Of course they weren't gameplans for him. What else is he going to say?
The bold part was an accident and the spelling of Quadri was my bad.Sorry to have let you down. This quote below by the greatest coach ever I refer to in these situations.
"You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one."
John Wooden (UCLA basketball coach)
No, no. I bolded it for my response. How can that quote from Quadri Moore tell you anything? IMO you're reading way too much into his foul trouble driven performance at Tulane. Glad he came to play. But I'm surprised anyone is reading anything into it. He was the same player he always is, just got more extended run and a few shots fell.
