Think about this for a minute. When is the last time UC has been considered the "Big Dog" in a conference? C-USA? Nope. Not for football.

UC could be the major player in the Big East in the years to come from an athletic standpoint. UC is going to be the only football program worth a damn left in the conference. WVU is gone. Pitt is gone. Even if Boise comes on board, UC will still be the remaining school with the most success. From a basketball standpoint, Mick has this program on the rise and it will be a Big East title contender for years to come. With some continued success on the football field and basketball court, UC could be the most respected athletic program in the Big East. It isn't a guarantee but it also isn't as far fetched as it would have seemed when they joined the league about 5 or 6 years ago.

Boise State would immediatly become the big dog for football. Boise State has had much more success in football than our program has. We've been to two BCS bowl games but we haven't won any of them. Boise State has won big bowl games, knocked off big time programs, and played in one of the most memorable football games of the last 20 years.

There is nothing guaranteed that Boise would win a conference having to play games against UC, USF, UL, etc. Not the greatest competition in the world but better than what they currently play. Will Boise be good? Surely. Will they be dominate without Kellan Moore? No one knows. That is why I said "could" and not "would." Nothing is a given but if UC is able to win the league this year and compete for a title the next couple years (and win one), it would be hard to discount it.

Boise without Moore may take a step back in the next couple years. It is possible playing in this conference will cause some slip ups, but I think they'll represent the Western Division(provided the Big East does keep 2 divisions) most years.
The East though, may very well be ours.

Maybem but thats what people said when Zabransky left. He's just a good coach and knows how to utalize his talent. Them and UC will def be the top dogs

Am I the only who hopes that Boise maintains its top 10 annual ranking? Much better for the stature of the conference. I'd love the chance to go against a top 10 team every year.
