until it makes sense to schedule tough opponents, Why not have cup cakes? and home games to bring in the $$

I will say the previous years we had Texas, USC, The U, and scheduled Cal at the time they were decent as the OOC games

I agree. But its the reason why NCAA football has lost its appeal to me at least. I mean I just can't picture Rutgers playing in the Big 10 and OSU and Michigan not playing during the regular season etc etc. Not entertaining to me.

I think that they are counting the strength of schedule more for the BCS playoffs. OSU lost a couple spots already just playing Buffalo.

Question. If you are ranked 3rd and the team you are playing is ranked 30th, they should be a cupcake right?

Its all about how you perform. Oregon beat the icing out of Nicholls St and jumped to the 2 spot because quite frankly, OSU looked like shit. However, Clemson beat the 5 team in the country and still sits behind OSU.

Which is garbage. OSU at 2 was garbage to begin with. A 1 loss SEC team would get in the title game over an undefeated OSU this year.

You say it is all about how you perform then you prove that it isn't. It is all about who lines the NCAA's pockets.

It is all about how you perform...

Playing a bad team doesn't make you a bad team, but depending on how you perform vs that bad team is where the ratings come from.

Oregon beat the crap out of a crap team and jumped OSU cuz we looked like pooh.

And OSU brings in prob top 5 dollars to the NCAA... I know they have one of the top followings in college football country wide.

So why isn't Clemson ahead of OSU? Frankly OSU is borderline top 10 at this point.

I don't think the polls, which are being voted on by media members and coaches, are controlled by NCAA dollars. I think they're largely made up of media hype, especially this early in the season.

College Football should do away with early season polls. It's not possible to rank teams based on not having them played a game yet. Pre season rankings make it very difficult for a good team that starts outside the top 10 to have a legitimate shot at winning a nat'l championship.

Hopefully in the new system they'll do away with early season polls and they won't rank teams until week 5 or 6.

All you have to do is look at the bowl games from last year and see that schools that travel well and make the NCAA money get the best BCS bowls.

On Tuberville's radio show last night he said the Cat's showed about 60% of their offense against Purdue, he was proud of now Munchie responed after that first pick, and that the players gave the strength and conditioning coaches a standing ovation after the game for how well they were physically prepared to play in that heat.

A ball batted at the line and picked is different than making a bad throw and throwing right to someone. I'm glad it didn't shake him though, I know I rolled my eyes.
