Cumberland really is quietly become a hell of a player. Dude is just a winner. No one is going to show him up out there. He plays with a lot of pride.

I remember one time either Rothstein or Szczekbiak said we just "turn your water off" when describing our defense. That really is a good way to put it. We make these teams look so uncomfortable. They can barely even run anything.

I do not like what I am seeing from Williams right now. Selfish and inefficient. Not a good combo
Agreed. I don't care how talented or athletic the kid is; he was playing some straight up hero ball out there and not being a team player at all.

Who will be the bigs next year? KW and GC are gone. Nsosome and Brooks? Scott?

Any pair of those three does not leave me with a lot of confidence.

With the guard play we have we will be just fine. Which one of those players is bad?

Plus Diarra, plus we're recruiting a stretch 4. And with Evans, Cumberland, Moore, and Williams, we could go small at times.

Yea, i agree. Gonna be tough not to have a true go to guy in the post, but they'll be loaded at the guard spots. Love the effort i see from Nsoseme, that's huge in my eyes. Just as important.

Also, have you seen the videos of Nsoseme prior to Cincy? Dude's put on a good 20 pounds since then.

Curious to see how Cincinnati's home crowd is tonight against UCF. Bearcats have highest ranking since 2004. NKU can't feel like a library. 7 PM ET on @CBSSportsNet.
It was a great atmosphere. Took my two year old grandson to his first bearcat game. He made me take him down to the floor and actually wanted to go on the court and run with the players during the game. I finally got him distracted with the help of the Bearcat. He was a handful. I believe we created another fanatical bearcat fan.

Awesome.

And yeah I thought it was pretty good last night. I thought it would be empty due to the impending white death.

Offense struggled early but man is the defense tough! At halftime Gary was scoreless and Evans had 3 points and we had total control. Loved Ellie getting minutes, I enjoy watching him on the court. And yes, Cumberland is back and better than ever now...he has the look of total control on the floor. Letting him run the point at times helps us and could improve his chances at the next level eventually...so it's a win-win and nice to see. Recruits should take notice as well as Mick is doing a nice job of taking his best players and putting them in a position to move on to the next level. I sure hope Clark gets drafted....and I hope Evans stays (or gets drafted in the 1st round).

Yes to this point it has been a very nice year. Guys look like they are on a mission to make bearcat history. Really don't see a lot of ego in any of their games. I'll see a occasional player trying to hard but that isn't always a bad thing. Team is very focused. They are must see basketball games.

Don't forget our 2012 team that went to the Sweet 16 played a small or 4 guard lineup.

Plus, I thought Nsoseme had a nice game last night.

You may be a bit harsh here. Kid is trying to do well and make a impression mostly in garbage time. He is competitive and wants to get more minutes. I agree that he could let the game come to him a bit more but that happens when you want to get off the bench. I'm sure he'll get it figured out. He sure didn't look selfish or inefficient hitting that three @UCONN. Like most freshman he is having his ups and downs. I'm sure he is working himself to death in practice as well or he wouldn't be seeing the floor at all. Mick just doesn't give minutes to guys who are not putting in the effort. Lets exercise a bit of patience here.

I like the talent I see in Williams. I was really giving him high praise early on in the year. I don't mind giving praise or critique. There were some face palm moments in the game IMO...but I think he will start to figure it out next year. I think it might be a little late in the game this year...but I am rooting for him.

The Uconn shot was awesome! I think he just needs to play his role this year and stop pressing. That probably means just spot minutes and doing all the little things. Take the no brainer opportunities...simplify it.
