Why are we asking Vogt to guard people full court or even 1 on 1? Why are full court pressing when we have 10 fouls in 10 mins? These are fair questions

I think brannen has no idea how to coach defense. And I don’t think that is a hot take.

Need a defense guru on the staff

Saw the last 4 minutes, missed the first 4 minutes of second half, now I'm here for the long haul.

Looks like we are committing a ton of TO's and Vogt/Rap are struggling on D, nothing new really. At least like we are outrebounding them by a fairly significant margin.

Well we are scoring at will... But we are down 10 because they are scoring at will as well.

Anyone want to bet which team starts playing defense? Hint: it won't be us.

Brannen needs to get them to play with this urgency all the time. Vogt being out they are running and gunning.

Well we did actually play some defense and UCF didn't, but in the end we had already dug too much of a hole and UCF grabbed offensive rebounds when they missed. Nice to see us not give up, would have been nicer to see in not dig the hole in the first place.

All I could have asked for was to come back and at least make it a game in the last minute which they did. Getting beat by double figures would have been unacceptable. Let’s build on it and remember when we get UCF at home if that happens.

I think we’d be a pretty good team, (top 50ish), if we didn’t foul so much. Eason and Williams are in foul trouble every game. If you just put them on the floor for 30+ minutes we might be a bubble team. And by fouling we are just giving the other team points.

Harvey is looking comfortable.
Saunders look decent. 4 rebs, 3 ast.
Eason is good when he plays.
Maw can be a solid role player.
There are flashes

I do wonder how much better we would be with an athletic 5. I didn’t mind Vogt when he was scoring consistently but he doesn’t even score anymore.

I agree with all that. I just don’t that’s enough in this league that’s getting better.

I mean UCF is on the verge of being really frickin good.
