Their size bothered us more than I though it would too.

The refs definitely let alot of contact go that is called in the majority of games. If this was a non tournament game I think they have a lot more fouls called on them. That said, people know they aren't going to get as many calls come this time of year.

Let's dig a little

OK, great 30-6, but let's be honest UC plays in a BAD league, and beat up on mostly bad teams this season, except Iowa State and SMU, out of there first 35 games, YIKES! Bottom line, until UC gets in a better conf. beating up on bad teams doesn't help you win, when you play in the NCAA Tour. I really think Marvin Cronin, and Mick Lewis are the same person, weird huh.

The league sucks, everyone understands that. We aren't going anywhere. There is no where to go. Only thing to do is win. Yeah, most of their wins were bad teams, but they won them. In past years they didn't. That's progress. If you want to based success on just the tourney, that's fine. We all would like to win but there is more to the season than just the last week or 2

This isn't a one or two year thing, this has been the norm for Mick his whole career. Keep telling yourself it's getting better, but in reality it ain't. Winning games you're suppose to is great, but in this case it doesn't get you better for the BIG PICTURE, which most Cincinnati fans don't car about anyway, just don't be the worst and it's OK, PATHETIC! Next year I'm sure this team will beat Tulane, East Carolina, and USF again, and again, HURRAH!!!!!!!!!!!! BFD who gives a spit! Wake up!

I would love to win. I'm as disappointed as anyone about losing but it's not the 90s. College bball is totally different and catered more to the blue bloods than anytime before. Danny fortson In today's game wouldn't come here and if he did he would leave after 1 year. Van exel Prob leaves after being a junior. We aren't getting 5 star players here. Most of them are going to about 5 of the same schools every year. We lost to a team that had one of the best offenses in 20 years and with 2 lottery picks. I hope to start winning in March also, but if your not a blue blood thats getting lottery picks every year it's hard. That's just the reality of the situation

Big picture is we just went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the country with arguable the best player in the country.

Big picture is also that we just won the 2nd most games in program history. And can anyone honestly say we can't win 30 again next year?

What would you like Mick to do about his conference and his schedule?

So by your logic, was UC ever good ? I remember the huggins teams beating up on crappy schools in the C-USA days. I remember Kenyon Martins #2 ranked team having to come from behind against an unranked DePaul team.

UConn will be back to their normal selves next year, and I think ucf, Tulsa, and east Carolina take it up a notch from this year. We'll see when those teams play ooc games.

You've got Ricky Bobby syndrome. "If you aint first, you're last!"

Before you think everything is rosey in Westwood, just a year ago alumni were flying planes over UCLA with a banner to fire Alford. They rented billboard trucks to drive around campus urging th A.D. to fire Alford. Rumor has it that Alford is being recruited to be Indiana's coach and there is a group of alumni that would gladly pay the $7.5 million buyout.

Alford isn't a very good coach. He had a ton of talent at UCLA and could never coach them to play a lick of defense. If they just played average defense they would have been a 1 seed. He wasn't good at Iowa and probably just above average at New Mexico. I was surprised UCLA hired him and thought IU could have done much better.

IU got Archie Miller.
