Great game today. Again, as I have said already, Cronin has come into his own and I think things will be much better for him, the team, and the program. I still think now is the time to hit the PR trail.

Great Game!!!! Total team effort. While Killa hit the game winner what shouldn't be lost is the contributions of Yancy and Parker. Both were outstanding. Yancy's double/double against their biggs was HUGE!!!! Parker provided many big shots as well as clutch boards and was a matchup problem for UCONN all night. Go Cats and lets take it to WV.

If A was a recruit watching lastnights game, how could you not want to be part of the this program. Obekpa and Rubles should be excited for the opportunity to play with this returning group. Good PG and wing players. You have good developing bigs in the Gym to practice against. A young coach who wants to be there. And if the City is smart they will get behind this team and fill the arena. The Cats are being rebuilt the right way and for the long haul. Can't wait for saturday's game. They have energized the fan base.

As I said, Ralph starts more than his share of BS.

I like Mick. I think Mick was absolutely the right guy, and the only guy, to be named head coach in April, 2006. I may have been the happiest UCAT alive when I heard Mick's name announced as UC's coach back then. I think Mick is the only guy who could have made the recovery this quick.

I have no idea why some consider this to be BS unless you are hugginestas or subscribe to the traitor Mick thing. When did liking your head coach become BS?

Dan Dankisch on College Basketball Live ESPNU at 11:00pm last night said Mick was a National Coach of the Year candidate. Is Dan saying BS also?

Another ESPN guy last night said Mick would be one of the hottest coaching names at season's end when job changing begins. Thank God that Mick is a UC guy and bleeds red and black.

Here is what Jay Bilas has to say, is he BS also?

@JayBilas on Twitter:

I believe Cincy will be in the NCAA Tournament. Good team. Cronin is a very good coach. Inch for inch, among the very best.

If I were Obekpa I certainly would go to UC. I am thinking the 4 guard offense is here to stay.

So many things I was impressed by last night. The thing that isn't being mentioned is Yancy's defense. He shut down the UConn bigs. They were a non-factor. Parker did his fair share as well. It looks to me like this team has matured in front of our eyes, all of them.

SK's defense is vastly improved, he took Lamb out of the game, with help on the switches from Dixon and company. The defense of this team is so fun to watch.

The offense at times still stagnates, but if they are hitting shots it works. I love when they get to driving and dishing, getting the ball to the highpost and working it around. I would like to see more movement off the ball, but can't much complain about it now.

JD played a great role last night as well, spelling Cash when he had fallen on his shoulder, made a couple buckets and didn't turn the ball over.

Overall a great showing for the Cats, now let's go get those Mountain men.

You can visually see the confidence JD is playing with. He looks like a different player in terms of on court presence.

I still love the way they huddle and encourage each other. They have become a family that communicates. That trait makes you play harder for the guy beside you. It makes you pull together when things aren't going right.

The way they stayed steady during the UConn runs and answered each one was impressive. Love what I'm seeing from this team and I believe they are going to get better. I don't think they've peaked.

Great win. Great gut check.

Bearcatjeff - just wondering...next year with Yancy gone, which player do you think Cronin will suspend in order to get his team to listen to him? ;)

UC will be so good, pre season top 10 in my opinion, he will not need to suspend anyone.
