Game is Saturday at 4 PM EST on ESPN2.

UConn just beat SMU.

Quick turnaround. I guess this is a must win. Although out at-large hopes are just about dead.

UConn 61
UC 62

If Shaq Thomas is hurt, he shouldn't play. If he isn't hurt, he should barely play. Sounds like a good guy who loves the team, but damn am I tired of watching him play.

Jacob, you can't look at things in a vacuum. Other bubble teams are losing too. If we beat SMU and UConn (which we should since we are at home), we are still in good shape. Losing Houston would be bad but I still think we could get in. If we win out, we are pretty much a lock.

(Doesn't change how disappointed I am with this season or Mick).

The current players and coaching obviously don't get it. The coaches get it, but clearly can't connect with the players to motivate them. At this point in the season, our players are who they are. Not very smart. They simply refuse to learn from early losses. When you lose games by 2 or less points, over and over it falls back on series of lack of effort and mental lapses. In all those losses, there's not one specific play that lost them that game. There's tons of series that just makes us, fans, scratch our heads and say what the f.

We can easily lose Saturday, and against Houston. But maybe we won't. Who knows anymore?!

This team has been one of the most unwatchable teams in the Cronin era. They lack IQ, passion, and common basketball sense 101. History tells me, this year, the motto has been and will be til the end, "close but no cigar".

2nd Tier

UC basketball is 2nd tier basketball, in a 2nd tier league, with a 2nd tier coach, and 2nd tier players.

I'm worried about ECU too. I have no reason to believe that game won't come down to the wire. We make it such a massive struggle away from home.

If we win out the regular season and win 1 game in conference tourney we are in. If we lose 1 I think we have to win the conference tourney

I have to record the game tomorrow. Probably won't be able to start it until halftime. Seriously considering just sitting this one out.

All of this is wrong....

Right, we didn't even drop a spot in the RPI after that loss.

We could theoretically lose to @houston and still be in as long as we beat uconn and SMU.

We are just very lucky to have those 2 huge home games left because we can control our destiny.

But make no Mistake, we need to beat Uconn. I want to beat the pants off them. Ill be there and I hope this is the loudest crowd of the year. Lets make them shit there pants.

the UC crowd needs to fuel this team saturday

Tulsa was on the next four out last night and beat us and now they're on the last four in if we beat UConn then we will jump into the field just like Tulsa did no need to freak out, we can lose one more regular-season game and one aac tournament game and we are still in....

Its insane how much UC and uconn are near exact images of each other and both having the same type of season.

the bubble is incredibly soft this year. you can't look at this in a vacuum. a road loss to a top 50 rpi tournament contender is not a disaster, and other teams are losing too.

saying we have to do x or y at this point is silly because of what a cluster the bubble is this year.

the conference tournament should not be hard to win.

I like the optimism and it makes sense. Lets goo!!!!

Man, I just can't summon that enthusiasm. Being on the outside of the bubble looking in sucks. Watching our players implode over and over again sucks too. Seems like the expectation for this season has shifted to just getting in the field of 68. Nothing positive about that. Even *IF* we get in, what can we really expect? I'd be willing to bet a large sum that our season ends on the first weekend with us scoring in the 50s.
