Game is Thursday at 7 on ESPN
I'm just depressed about the team. Trying really hard not to slip into the "Same old Bearcats" mode.
i want to slaughter them!
We might have a problem. Ive been down all day. Like seriously, my mood is affected. We might need to get a life. Im always like this after a loss though. The only cure is a win.
yea, I have completely given up on the Bengals and to some degree the reds. lost all hope. the bearcats are my last team I really care about. Not sure what I would do if I gave up on them. Does feel like they are getting close to that Bengals territory. Always good, never good enough
The Bengals thing is about the tone. Always getting people to believe it can be different this time...but ultimately getting too scared to really go for it. Then getting really defensive about it afterwards and coming up with stupid reasons why you had to do things the way you're comfortable doing them, even if year after year it results in going home early.
It's not too late for this team. I just want to be shown that we're willing to go down with a fight and change things up to try to spark us down the stretch. Just deciding to not a change a thing sends a terrifying message. I am legitimately scared. I am so scared that Cronin will get stubborn, dig in, and lose early with Broome or Washington riding the pine. I am so scared of that. So scared.
I agree. we still have a one game lead, and still kinda control our own destiny but I would like them to prove they can actually beat someone before I talk about how great they are or believe how far they will go.
I know, I hate being 0-27

What contribution do you bring with idiotic posts like that? If you're so confident that we're the best team ever and our 4 losses mean nothing given our teams history please provided objective reasons for why we are all so dumb and wrong.
If UC loses to UCONN then it's time to start worrying. I can only hope Broone starts and plays 30+ minutes. They're doing everything in their power to give up a 3 game conference lead when they only had 6 games left. It's not March yet, but it's time to start playing like it is.
Brooks and Nsoseme went 22 minutes combined with 0 points? Is that right? I mean, the second either one of them makes any mistake at all, we lose the matchup at the 5. At least Washington can score and make up for mistakes. But he's not allowed to make up for it. So we just accept the fact that we lose at the 5 in those games.
Same with PG. I thought Cronin knew Broome could only play 6 minutes in the Houston game, and I was beginning to accept that Broome just wasn't as advertised...then you see him against Wichita a few days later, and it's like wait whoa wtf is this!?!? So it's the same thing with him. Yeah he fouled a 3 point shooter and maybe wasn't making plays defensively, but he can make up for it offensively. Too physical in the paint? So what? Why can't Broome shoot 10 3s in a game if we need it?
Enough of the bs. Play the best players. I'm going to lose my mind if we lose in the tournament in a game where Washington or Broome is on the bench. I'm telling you. Losing that way is unforgivable every time. Play the best players and let them figure out how to win their matchup.
And I know I've been on this Williams/Moore thing. But if Moore isn't hitting shots (shooting 29% from the floor in conference play), he can't be out there. We already have Jenifer who can't score starting, and Scott, Brooks and Nsoseme coming off the bench who can't score. Williams can score. He is much more athletic and in a high level D1 game gives us a better option. He's 10-12 on FT in AAC. He could score 5-8 points every game if he played 15 minutes.
I'm not dogging Moore. He's the youngest guy on the team. I think he's going to be good but lately he hasn't shown that he's ready at all to help us in the biggest games. The fact that Moore was playing crunch time in the Houston game and Williams didn't play at all is mind boggling. Turn Williams loose. Let him play for 12-15 minutes and have him run around like a maniac. That's who he is at this point in his career, so embrace it. We can press with him, he can drive, he can dribble. It's gotta be him.
As far as Cane goes. We know what Cane is and isn't at this point. A game like Houston he didn't get in because they were holding and Cane wouldn't have been able to do anything. He went with Moore for toughness and length and I guess I'm OK with that.
