I want everyone to think about where this program was 4 years ago. Think about the rushed recruiting, the sub-par BEast talent, and then think about Deonta Vaughn and what he has acoomplished statistically in his UC career. He has beeen a grinder, a warrior, and he along with others, has helped relay a foundation for UC basketball to return to prominence.

This isn't about former coaches, or wins and losses, or statistics. It's about a player that has given everything to a program we all love. That alone makes him a Bearcat. He deserves our support. Let's show him that even though we may be disappointed in the team as a whole, that we are proud of him and appreciate all his 4 years have meant to bringing this program back.

No question about it. I realize he's enemy #1 of the fan base these days, but I am going to be cheering my head off for Deonta to have an enjoyable senior night tonight.

Save the other garbage for any other day.

Vaughn (and even Williamson) was the bridge between having nothing and this year's team. He does deserve our respect and admiration, even though he is not having the year we had hoped. Sometimes we as fans get caught up in the results oriented column, and fail to appreciate the personal side of things.

I agree that BOTH of these seniors should be honored tonight. They have both put in countless hours preparing and playing for the team we love. I will be at the game giving DV and Toyloy both standing ovations. It is their last game in the Shoe and we should honor them.....even if we are not pleased at their play this year ;)
