I think we'll be -2.

Melvin Johnson can fill it up. He averages 19.6 and shoots 16 FG per game and about 9 3s (at 45%). Stop him and you stop VCU. Last night against GT he was 6-17 with 0 REB and 0 AST...they lost by 13.

VCU is 5-4...wins over Prarie View A&M (75-50), Radford (92-74), American (72-44), Old Dominion (76-67), and Middle Tennessee State (62-56). Losses are against Duke (79-71), Wisconsin (74-73), Florida State (76-71), and Georgia Tech (77-64).

They are more tested than us and on their home floor. Gotta bring the big boy defense, rebounding, and intensity WHILE STILL being crisp and active offensively. This is no time to bring a 50-something point effort. We are just as desperate for a marquee win.

They allow 66.3 PPG despite being ranked 58th in tempo. We HAVE to be efficient. They are ranked 45th overall in KenPom.

SO CLOSE!!! I swear I'll get one.

Any road win is great. Lol, I just wish I hadn't seen this game with my eyes. I would have felt a lot better. But, who the hell knows how much better we would have looked if this game had been properly officiated. That was beyond belief. I never thought I would ever miss Jim Buhr and Tim Higgins, but these refs were some of the all-time worst. Lets go beat Iowa St. now!!!

We looked so awful but somehow pulled it out.

Kind of like Troy's day. He looked awful too, I mean just terrible, then I look up his stats and he was 5-11 for 15 points with 4 assist 2 boards and 2 TO.

He looked so much worse than that.

Wow didn't realize he had 15. I would've guessed 10 or 11.

Crazy game, I hate when refs call everything. They were consistent for the most part except some home cooking to let them back in it. Free throw shooting was the difference. Total team effort in that regard. Gutty win on he road is always good. Take the W and come home.

Free throw shooting made up for some mistakes that could've been costly. That's how it's done on the road. We WILL beat Iowa State.

Yeah he committed a lot of fouls where he was standing there, and that was his foul.

Not pleased that Ellis picked up 5 fouls in 20 minutes but it's a step in the right direction considering that he did not pick up a technical in a close game.

Edit: DeBerry also had a turnover. Very productive 6 minutes. hahaha

Couldn't watch, CBS Sports Network was the ONLY channel I was having problems with, go figure. Tuesday IS HUGE beat ISU and we could be approaching top 10-15. I don't care how ugly we win as long as we win.
