Shaq Thomas, the NJ Prep Player of the Year and UC recruit, will be participating in a dunk contest on CBS at 4:30PM!! Check it out!

NICE. It' always cool getting a sneak preview of a future cat- on NATIONAL TELEVISION. I still remember watching Devin Downey play in the Jordan Brand game... saw Lance play in the McD's game- but I don't remember if he was a 'Cat at that point or not.

Lance was not a UC Bearcat yet when he was in the McD AA game.

Thanks, I didn't remember if he was or not. Regardless of everything that happened before he got to UC and some of the things that have happened after he left UC (and his decision to leave), I believe Lance was very good for this program and overall is a pretty good kid- he's just made a few stupid decisions in his life. I hope nothing but the best for him.

I guess I missed it, all I saw was a segment on Arizona basketball. How'd it go?!

I TIVO'd it and haven't watched it yet. It sounds like he did ok but the guy throwing his toss was awful. I'll break it down once I have a chance to watch it tonight.

Tennis takes more talent then baseball. Fact.

Your kidding right?

I thought that was common knowledge. Then again, I guess I could see how some people would think waiting around and jogging every now and then can be excruciating. I would not be surprised if in most innings, the most running a player does is to and from his position from the dugout.

Tennis takes more running and endurance than baseball (although the majority of players are in great shape) but talent is highly debatable. In fact I would argue pretty strongly that baseball takes more talent when you take into account the different aspects of the game.

Tennis serves are a lot faster than 90MPH. And you have a lot less room to work with.

You also have a lot more than 60 feet to react. You have a much bigger racket than a baseball bat and you don't have to worry about near the arsenal of different pitches in tennis.

Hitting the 90MPH fastball isn't the difficult thing (relatively speaking)... it's hitting the sweeping slider or 75MPH Changeup that comes after it that's difficult and separates all of us from MLB players.

I enjoy both tennis and baseball. Though I can't get into tennis outside of the major tournaments.
