very proud of this team tonight...they fought their hearts out...gotta love the tenacity the team showed on defense tonight...seemed like they basically played a 5guard lineup for the last 10 minutes...Sanders really stepped up tonight and played the 5 spot fairly well with all things considered...Killa and Dixon kept the Cats in it to the final minutes, and Parker and Cash brought it home...great win

Go Bearcats!

People said adding JaQuan Parker wouldn't be a big deal. He was an absolute man tonight down the stretch, 11 points and 11 rebounds along with clutch shooting. They really missed him early this season.

hes improved more in one season than any bearcat in quite some time. And whats scary is he couldve played even better than tonight if he couldve knocked down some of his good looks (which he will more often than not, just a cold night)

Wow! Anybody else thankful we decided to make FTs down the stretch?

Loved the huddle after the game with Mick right in the middle, everybody yelling and laughing. These guys are having a blast and it's good to see Mick enjoy the moment too. Oklahoma had some serious bruisers down low in Fitzgerald and Osby but we were even tougher.

I know it's been an issue his whole time here, but what is Jackson's problem with fouling? More than half of his fouls are DUMB, just plain dumb (reaching in 150 ft away from the basket, dumb over the back fouls). I love watching this team right now but man it will be awesome to have Yancy and Cheikh so we don't have to worry about Jackson and Kelvin in foul trouble every minute of the game. I love the effort and intensity but sometimes you just have to tone it down a bit.

But he'll of a win! Now let's go take one from Pitt!

Yeah, he had a few 6-8 foot jumpers that he just short armed. But those FT's down the stretch were clutch, they won the game because of the offensive glass playing with 5 guards.

Completely agree. He guarded pretty well on the interior too, especially for being undersized imo.

They were awful shooting all night, they won through pure will.
I really did enjoy the end, but jeez...

Ok UC fans, this was a night to be proud imo. Totally a game won by will and guts. The team was clutch when they had to be clutch and played D all night. It is progress to win a game when everything is going wrong but you find a way! I loved it man. Kept telling my wife if they stayed within 10 they have a shot (not really believing it myself) and I'll be damned if they didn't pull it out. This was a night when Yancy could have really helped but in the end the Bearcats did themselves proud.

I think you stay with JaQuon at the 4 when Yancy comes back.

One more game without the bigs. Will be very interesting to see how we matchup verse Pitt who are desperate for a win.

Even with a crowd a little over 4k that place was loud the final 3 min and it felt awesome! Goes to show what a true arena style can bring in regards to crowd noise.

I agree. He and Cash were huge the last 3 minutes and he shooting over 80% from the ft line I believe.

If we shoot even moderately well, I think we'll be fine against Pittsburgh.
They aren't the same team they were last year, at all.
No real post presence, no rhythm on offense.

Gotta say I am PROUD of this coaching staff and team.. Sometimes life hands you sh*t and you have yo respond.. They have really made this a postitive.. I thought sanders really gave some nice miutes as well playing way out of position... It's these kind of wins that bring the fans back.. I hope Gates can grow play with this much heart when he comes back.. If you can combine this kind of effort with his natural gifts, you could be looking at a team making a run..

actually that is more of a credit to the fans, not the arena style. shoemaker is suited to be louder than an arena like us bank because of the large walls behind the student sections which makes the noise bounce. this is a reason why assembly hall is arguably the loudest arena in america...minimal end zone seating and large walls behind the hoops.

5th/3rd gets loud when fans are into it...the upper seating just sucks and the parking imo.

100%. my comment was more directed towards uc alum's comment that it "goes to show what a true arena style can bring in terms of crowd noise." my point was that shoemaker, albeit inconvenient for fans, based on its design, produces more noise than a normal arena-style gym.
