Williams entering draft

Saw this, his tweet said he intends to hire an agent. However, I’m not sure how eligibility works anymore.

Will also say I can’t see him getting drafted based on his career so far.

I think he will still be eligible should he choose to return. Cumberland hired an agent last year.

He could not break into an NBA squad right now. He needs to get better, or earn money overseas. But the NBA, as of now isn't realistic. Hoping he comes back. He'd have the ball in his hands a lot this year with JC and Tre gone, to prove he's draftable.

He would be dumb not to get an evaluation and test it out, but there is no doubt in my mind he will be back.

I’d guess 80% chance he comes back. If not more. NBA will love his athleticism but he still has a lot to improve on. Could use a year to be the man, improve his ball handling and shooting even more. But if he goes, I’ll never blame anyone for trying to achieve their dream

The way things look right now, there's a chance the NBA postpones or maybe cancels the draft. They can't workout players safely right now without public blowback for risking the virus. Summer ball may be canceled. The season will likely be delayed. Hard to draft someone you can't evaluate when paying such high salaries.

And it'll be worse for all the teams in Europe who don't have as much capital behind them, while stay-at-home rules are even more strict than in the U.S.

Just bad luck, but it's probably a smarter move for him to finish out his degree and hope this all changes in a year. Guys are going to be really rusty without summer workouts happening. But what gyms are open?

I’ve read they will have to use their game film

There was an interview with the Madsen twins not too long ago. They said they'd be playing outdoors. I imagine a lot of guys will practice/play at the local park (and hope the parks don't get close to).

Many parks are open right now, but most playgrounds are not. The risk isn't with being indoors as much as it is with athletes getting physical with each other. There are 14 cases in the NBA right now. I don't think a college is going to support risking a student's life so they can improve their game.
