After almost a four-month lay-off, the University of Cincinnati women’s golf team is set to return to action and begin their spring season Monday, Feb. 22, in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Bearcats won two team titles during fall play, and junior Kate Moore captured the individual title at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
“Overall [fall] was good,” said UC head coach Janet Carl. “We have a young team that found their feet in the fall.”
During the time off, Carl has been preaching mental toughness to her team.
“We have been working on the mental part of the game and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress in the spring,” Carl said. “They need to improve their mental toughness, no matter what is going on around them.”
Junior Bambee Dela Paz finished fall season strong with a 35th-place finish in the Florida International University Pat Bradley Invitational in October.
