Beasley is outing his former coach

"the ex-Kansas State star reported in Montgomery County Circuit Court documents that former Kansas State basketball head coach Bob Huggins hired Beasley’s ex-AAU Coach as an assistant coach for the Wildcats essentially in exchange for Beasley attending the school."

http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/beasley-admits-ncaa-violations-implicates-huggins-29891

"Beasley’s admissions are particularly troubling considering the alleged personal level of complicity by Huggins and Hill in committing what can only be construed as major NCAA violations. Not to mention the fact that it is Beasley himself admitting to an extraordinary level of extra benefits the level of which was most recently seen in NCAA rules violations committed by USC’s Reggie Bush and his family."

The article talks about Hill paying for Mrs. Beasleys car payments and rent while she moved closer to Kansas State so she could watch her son play for a year.

Can anything come from this since Bob left Kstate already? Imagine if he was still at UC today and did the same thing. Like the article says, it is most like the Bush violations and you saw what USC got. IMO, its a good thing he isn't the coach here and tried to pull this stunt at UC or the Bearcats could see violations.

He was the head coach at UC when UC got 2 years probation in 97, 98.

He paid Hill $400,000 a year as his K State assistant to steal Beasley away from Bobby Lutz at UNCC.

This goes on at every major college in the country... Just all depends on how much you get caught.

And your argument is null, Tressel didnt win games.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this. If Huggs is tied directly to it, he could be given a show-cause penalty, effectively firing him from his alma matter...and probably ending his career.

I would say that isn't likely. But who knows.

Every major college? No way. I think teams try and bend rules as much as possible, but they don't flat out pay for family houses, and coaches to come to the program. I think that schools try and bend rules all the time, but they don't flat out cheat like Huggs did there.

Lamest arguement ever. Typical SEC football fan trying to justify it. This isn't OSU players getting some tattoos from a drug dealer. This is an assistant coach paying a large amount of money to players.

Not everyone does this. Boosters might find a way to give out some extra benefits but this is a coach on the staff paying a player.

If Huggins knew I think the punishment will be very very severe. I think he could get massive penalties. WVU won't fire him if they don't have too because they are the awful awful awful people.

This could be the reason he had to get out of Manhattan, KS fast. The Arkansas job opened up before the WVU job, as reported by Jason Whitlock, Huggins applied for the Arkansas job but could not get it.

Reggie Bush gave up the Heisman Trophy but Huggins does not have a NCAA Champion Trophy to give up.

lol

As for reggie bush "giving back" the heisman. Everyone knows who the best college football player was that year. Reggie Bush. Taking away a trophy is meaningless.

I hate that argument. He was a professional player that year, the award goes to the best collegiate football player.
