Summer league serves as tryouts, as a chance to get a look at undrafted players against quality competition, give older players aquired through trade a chance to adjust to a desired role and to give rookies some veteran help.

Detroit V. Utah Summer league game was on NBATV today. I didn't find out about it until after halftime. Yancy didn't score in the first half and got a shot blocked. In the second half he played a decent amount. He did have a nice dunk and one that gave him his only 3 pts of the game, 3 rebs.

The last summer league game had the Pacers and Stephenson started and looked pretty good. He ended up with 16 pts or so.

I know it is just summer league, but it was nice to see bearcats from the Cronin era with some NBA affiliation albeit summer league, but was still nice.

Yancys Stats: 3 pts, 4 rebs, 1 block, 1 foul, 3 Turnovers in 11 mins played. Also went 1-5 shooting(ouch) and 1-1 on freethrows.

I dont consider that terrible minus the three turnovers in 11 mins but it is nowhere near good. My hope is that he was kept out for such a long time because of all the turnovers he had. He only played 3 mins in the first half so I hope he produces well in the upcoming games. I think he needs one good game to get his confidence going.
