Help Support BearcatTalk:

He is on the Kansas campus for their Legends weekend. Kansas and Bill Self have really impressed Andrew and his family. My opinion is that this visit will go a long way is shaping the remainder of his recruitment. Cincinnati is still on solid footing.

Andrew was blown away by the fan support and adoration of the Kansas players while on his visit. He is going to take at least one more visit, probably WVU next weekend. He came away quite enamoured by his Kansas visit. Would not surprise me if he verbals to the Jayhawks.

That sucks. We are still barely missing out on top talent. Hopefully with another successful year, and an NCAA run, we will be able to land players like this. There's no question that Mick can evaluate talent, though.

Mind you I'm not saying that as a certainty. Simply stating based on all I read and heard this is a distinct possibilty.

No worries. Not surprising that he would be woved by KU and the rabid fan support. At places like UK, KU, Duke, or UNC where basketball is king, it hard to fault a kid for being overwhelmed. I personally think voulmes of Mick and the staff that they are in consideration for these type of players, given what they have to sell in comparison to these programs. I will still hold out hope, however small this may be, that he eventually decides UC is best for him.

I wouldn't count on it unfortunately. White is considered a Kansas lean at this point and from what I've heard he was about as close to verballing as physically possible without actually doing it.

He has already been on campus. And he's got bigger fish to fry.

Fair enough. I just didn't know if there was something out there I was missing. Don't get me wrong, I would be shocked if he chooses UC. I just didn't see anything confirming his final visits one way or another.

I saw something a while ago listing the official visits he was planning on taking. UC was not one of them. I can't remember which article it was.

He is not taking an official because the unofficial he took here basically served as that. He got to meet with President Williams, an academic advisor, and everything else he would do on an official. He loved it here and has a great relationship with the coaching staff, but his recruitment is still wide open so he will be using his officials elsewhere and then decide.

UC is still in the picture as far as I know, but after the Kansas visit their chances may be dwindling.

I mostly agree but would much rather him be here on an official so UC can pay for his expenses, take him to dinner, etc. Might not seem like much but it could be the difference between a good trip and a great trip.

UC has had a very good home visit with Andrew and an unofficial. if andrew White doesn't end up at Kansas shortly after hi WVU visit I have to say I'll be surprised. That said, he is a very even minded young man with a great support base. Cincinnati has done a good job recruiting him but I think Kansas is his leader and I personally believe he will be a Jayhawk.
