Monte Morris - 6-foot-2, PG, Flint (Mich.) Beecher, 2013: Morris is an elusive guard who can make plays at the rim in transition or create shots in the half court. He's a crafty ball-handler who finishes well around the basket and also can score from the perimeter with a feathery jumper. More of a combo guard, he's best at attacking the rim and freelancing plays off the bounce in the halfcourt. He also has shown the capability to run a team through offensive sets. However, his toughness is what separates Morris from other prospects, and it's a big reason why the four-star guard from the Michigan Mustangs, who poured in 27 points in a loss on Sunday to the Florida Rams, is being recruited by Cincinnati, Iowa State, Xavier and several other big-name schools.

It was another strong weekend for Flint Beecher (MI) and Michigan Mustangs guard Monte Morris as the consensus top 100 prospect showed off his ability to score in transition, off the dribble and from the perimeter at the Best Buy Chicago Classic in Deerfield, Illinois.
Morris, who took an unofficial visit to Bloomington on May 4, has offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Oakland, USC, Virginia and Western Michigan and interest from Butler, Illinois and IU.

Kinda worried about ISU here but would be huge if he actually made it to campus because he said he's eyeing a late June/early July decision. Our visit would be fresh in his mind but I'm worried about Iowa State. I really want Morris but even if we don't get him we have KJ and Caupain amongst others available. Wouldn't be the end of the world but would be a huge get.
