2013 Hudson Catholic (NJ) forward Reggie Cameron is attending the Notre Dame-Seton Hall game. Both schools are recruiting him.

Reggie is my favorite recruit of the '13 class that UC is chasing.

What’s up, everybody?

This is Reggie Cameron with my second blog entry. Things have been going really well so far since our 2-point loss to Plainfield on New Year’s Day. We are on an 11-game winning streak and have won two good games against two great teams in Roselle (N.J.) Catholic and Lincoln (N.Y.). I think we are clicking right now and our chemistry is great.

Now we are in the heart of the season and it’s put up or shut up time with the County and State tournaments drawing near! My teammates and I will continue to work hard in practice to make aure we are prepared for our run for a State championship.

On a personal note, I scored my 1,000th point in my high school career Tuesday night in a 100-58 win over University Charter. It was a special accomplishment for me, but I’m worried about the big picture and getting my school a State championship! Until then i will keep trying to improve myself.

(P.S. I would like to congratulate my PlayazFam Chris Jones and Dallas Anglin on scoring their 1,000th point last week also!)

Add Pittsburgh to the schools here for Reggie Cameron, Mike Young & Kavon Stewart. Villanova, West Virginia & Rutgers also here.

Reggie Cameron (NJ Playaz 2013) – As a 6’7” sweet shooting forward, there may not be a taller player in the country with a smoother stroke from outside than Cameron. His size for the wing and his outside stroke are both elite qualities that counteract Cameron’s slight athletic limitations. While not an explosive athlete, he is crafty and understands how to use both screens and his size to create space for jump shots. Cameron also rebounds at a high level for the wing and is able to use his strength and length to be an above average defender. Cameron has an equally impressive list of high major suitors holding offers from Villanova, Seton Hall, Northwestern, Miami, DePaul, Providence, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Xavier.

Reggie Cameron now showing some creativity off the bounce. Has a chance to be a gifted all around offensive player. Has the physical tools.

Reggie Cameron (NJ Playaz 2013) – Eventually the rest of the country is going to learn what the Northeast already knows that Reggie Cameron is a big time scorer. The 6’8” forward has one of the smoothest jumpers in America and is comfortable with it well past the college 3 point line. His basketball IQ also stands out as he has excellent footwork and sees the floor very well. Quickness remains an issue but is something that Cameron is constantly working on to improve his overall game.

Cameron’s offer list is constantly growing and now stands at Miami, Villanova, Florida, Xavier, Cincinnati, DePaul, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Providence, Northwestern, and newly received West Virginia. He is also receiving new interest from Michigan who had an assistant on hand watching his game against the Soldiers.

Reggie Cameron again showing why he'll be a good player as long as he's in the right system. Doesn't try 2 do 2 much, finishes, good passer.

Another guy I love but can't see him in a Bearcat uniform but his interests seem to lie elsewhere. If he were to land at Michigan he'd be a great fit. Just don't think he fits an uptempo style real well but man he is a good player.
