I don't really know much about him but we just started recruiting him and he has some pretty good teams after him so we will see what happens but it looks like we are after a center for the last scolly.

From what I see he played on the U17 World Championship team for Egypt and averaged 5.4 points and 4 rebounds. He is listed at 6 foot 9.

THREE BEST PERFORMERS FROM FLORIDA FALL FESTIVAL

Anas Osama, PF, West Oaks, 2014 - Fresh into the United States, the native Egyptian was the talk of the event. Why? Well, when a near 7-footer comes into the building with a skill set that can stretch long past the three-point line, possesses good ball-handling skills and a high hoop IQ, people tend to flock to see such a player. Osama is a high-major player that schools like Cincy and Louisville are already interested in. Remember the name. The recruiting world will be discussing him quite a bit this high school season.

Those who have already seen him report back that his seven-foot size is legit and that he is a very skilled player. He can face the basket and shoot, handles the ball well and has a good overall feel for the game. However, he is lacking in strength and is still adjusting to hoops in the States.

Osama Mahmoud's legal guardian Ahmed Awadallah checked in with Rivals.com and reports some pretty heavy interest.

According to Awadallah, Osama Mahmoud has already received offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Dayton, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Minnesota, N.C. State and Texas A&M. Others expressing interest include DePaul, Florida, Georgia and Miami.

Early in the process and has a lot of suitors. Since he just moved here the foreign kids can be somewhat of a wild card because you dont always know what will be important to them. He wants to major in engineering and wants playing time right away. Beyond that it's just what coaching staff he feels most comfortable with. Has already unofficially been to Louisville as well as Cincinnati. Pitino is not someone I want to be in a recruiting battle with but with there being a little bit of unknown with Anas I think UC has a real opportunity. Once again its early in the process and is impressing a lot of people. Recruitment could go anywhere but it's a good sign he has already been on campus.

According to Jody Demling it doesn't sound like Louisville is even recruiting him that hard. I'm sure that could change though if they lose out on both Trey Lyles (likely UK bound) and Jonah Bolden.

Pitino has been to see him personally. Rick doesnt come to your games if he is not serious about you.

I believe we are in a very good position with Mahmoud because Louisville has a 6'11 center by the name of Bakary Konate who is visiting this weekend. He is very high on them and there's a very good chance he commits and takes there last scolly and if for some reason he doesn't they have Josh Gray visiting on dec.13th. He is also very high on them so that leaves Mahmoud with us and a couple others and we are one of the better teams on his list.

Has anyone found any video of him? Every time I look him up on YouTube it's a bunch of Muslim men talking to a camera.

ive looked forever and cant find a video. Has anyone seen him play? Who would he compare to?
