Cincinnati has offered 2014 Lakeville North (MN) SG JP Macura, his coach announced.

Most seem to think Butler and Minnesota are battling for him.

I was being sarcastic, I found it odd that they would put shooting free throws on a highlight reel. While I like a guy that can hit free throws, you could take any player in the world and find a shot of them making a free throw for a highlight reel.

He has a lot of scholarshipship offers. Xavier, Purdue, Florida St., NC State, Kansas St, Miami, Fl. to rattle off some of the big schools in addition to UC, Minnesota and Butler. He's compared to former Gophers player Blake Hoffarber with his shooting ability and range but is a much better finisher around the basket.

I feel like he is going to be a pain in our ass for one night a year the next four years. Redford would drive teams crazy until teams realized he had no handle whatsoever. If this kid can create space (which being 6'5" helps), he could be dangerous.

I really want UC to have a sharp shooter again. Hopefully, one of the freshman guards can be that.

Sharp Shooters are nice but I would rather have a guy that is a good shooter and can do other things than a guy that is one dimensional, even if he is an awesome shooter. If I can't get the good shooter who is more of an all around player, then I would definitely take a sharp shooter on the team over another guy who is uber athletic but can't shoot worth a lick.
