Steven Hurt, 6'10", 275 lbs. center who transferred from Lipscomb to NW Florida State. He was freshman of the year in the Atlantic Sun Conference while at Lipscomb and He avergaed 11.5 ppg and 7.8 rpg while there. Has high major attention. Hoosiersportsnation.com is reporting he visited Indiana.

Arizona, Miami, Ole Miss, Indiana, Tennessee, Kansas, Florida, Louisville, Marquette, Texas, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, Baylor, North Carolina State, Cincinnati and VCU are involved.

In a 38-point loss at Kentucky, Hurt still had 11 rebounds, 12 points, and 2 blocked shots.

In a 6-point loss at Memphis, Hurt had 13 rebounds, 15 points, and 1 blocked shot.

I think that answers whether or not the 6'-10" center can play with the big boys.

He shot 69% on FT, 53% on FG's, averaged 11.5 ppg, and 7.8 rpg, all while averaging only 24 minutes per game.

I'd take him.

Question, how can he be a 2014 recruit if he is transferring again now? Is he transferring after this season or is he transferring now and eligible next season?

Edit: Nevermind, didn't realize Northwest Florida State was JUCO. Sounds like he went there after the Lipscomb coach left with the idea he would work on bringing up his stock and getting some bigger offers.
