Don't have to take my word on facts....

FWIW, I wasn't doubting you. I trust that you know your recruiting stuff and also that you don't speak out of your ass on things. That's why I said I would take your word on it. I looked up his rivals page before sending my post so I didn't sound like I was talking out of my ass and it only listed Oakland and Cincy. I'm guessing everything from 2005 was wiped clean when he went prep. I did scroll through the articles part the second time and it had some stuff about Indiana on there but couldn't access because I'm not a member. I'm assuming he verbaled to Indiana but didn't sign? I'm curious now.

Here is the link to his rivals page: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Deonta-Vaughn-31324

Cash was a solid recruit. Vaughn if I remember correctly was recruited by Cronin at Murray State or at least looked at. (I might have him confused with someone else.) He went to prep school here and when Cronin got the gig here and obviously needed players he reached out to him. Vaughn I don't believe was being recruited by any program of the caliber of Cincy so it was kind of a no-brainer for him.

Thanks David AKA for that update. I had moved to Arizona at that time I think I read that on Cincinnati.com, it has been awhile. Thank you also for the detailed information Bearcat NTS . I know they were on your ass about not posting but I can see you pull out some good info. I think David tried to make it clear that he was not calling you out but understand being upset and a little venting. Moving forward, I love reading this website, keep it up!!! GO BEARCATS!!!

Satterfield seemed to have all the speed and just talent to be the best. Being a freashman he needed one more year to slow his game down. Thinking of him reminds me of Johnson if he did not have the car accident his career was about to take off in the NBA.
satterfield was throwing alley oops from half court. I believe he stayed 2yrs though not one. Johnson is still my favorite bearcat of all time. Still believe he is our highest rated recruit ever.

I just remembered that before I read your thread. Satterfield stayed two years and Johnson left I think in one year. Stevenson would be up there also in recruiting out of high school.

Johnson was #1 recruit coming out of high school. Satterfield was top 20 also, both played on McDonald's all American together and that's where Satterfield got Johnson to commit to us on bus on way to game. Mike Williams transfer from Texas was rated pretty high also.

Satterfield never came close to realizing his potential. He left too early and wasn't close to being NBA ready. He wasted his time and his talent when he could have stayed, potentially earned a degree, and then tried to make a run at the NBA. He, along with Dermarr Johnson and Dontonio Wingfield should have stayed in school longer.

Wasn't Dermarr a lottery pick (6th overall?)? Hard to say he made a bad move. His injury kept him from realizing his potential in the league.

Yea can't fault demarr. Would've been top 3 if he came out as JR in high school.

DerMarr Johnson started over half the games his 2nd year in the NBA. Thats a lot better than being JR at UC for sure.
