So far, Epperson has drawn offers from West Virginia, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Utah, Cincinnati and others, but he mentioned that the efforts of Marquette, Purdue and Texas have stood out so far.

If we didn't make the teams that stood out so far and he's waiting to see since his recruiting is heating up...I would give this a low likelihood of happening. Maybe 1 in 10. I really hope that is wrong of course.

Maybe if we can get Williams we can put the hard sell on him before spring as being THE last piece of the puzzle kind of thing. This guy would be my top priority if there is still interest from his side.

If it doesn't happen I would probably be OK with a nice juco or transfer as well. We have seen some very solid contributors recently from those ranks. The last schollie better not go to a project. A player who can contribute right away via transfer or a big time HS recruit would be ideal.

I don't mid getting BIGs like Ellis, DeBerry, and Washington if we swing and miss on Epperson...but I would prefer Epperson right now.

Purdue was recruiting him pretty hard and they just landed a 7'2 big. Hopefully that's one less to compete with, want this kid.

As more guys come off the board I think his interest will continue to grow. Dont think this is a realistic option. I think that last scholly will go to a spring transfer. In a perfect world we put the full court press on Trevon Duvall and Epperson and land one of them. Just not who Cincinnati is right now. Rather focus on highly rated players in 2018 class we have a chance at landing.

Agreed. If this kid is getting looked at by the biggest programs then he could start right away. He's not coming here to play behind Gary. We will find a transfer or a big time player in 2018. I think our 2017 class is set for now. Perfect timing in start of the season. Time to focus on the actual 2016-2017 season IMO. Whose our first game, Brown? Lets get that thread going.

Yeah, I probably should've included a comment. That article doesn't mention Cincy at all. My guess is that we are no longer pursuing him.

I've been told that Epperson was in the building last night for the Houston game. Can anyone confirm?

I have seen him play numerous times and think he is over-rated, Keith Williams will be an impact player from the start- Epperson is a project.

I want a high major transfer big. Need to soften the blow of Gary and Kyle leaving. I think Naz and Tre are gonna be good players but need a better offensive low post option. If they cant get a transfer then they better go hard after a blue chip recruit who can play right away in the post.

Jack I think both options will be looked at. Being able to offer immediate playing time will help land a good player.

Easier said than done. With the coach carousel moving may be able to get a look but a high major transfer will be a longshot. With the AAC having a max bid of maybe a 4 seed, does not bode well. PT in a P5 is considerably different offer than in the AAC. I doubt you will see anyone near Semi's caliber transferring to the AAC

AAC does not have a max bid of a 4 seed, I agree we got screwed this year as a conference, but a couple more wins for the cats and that could easily change.

Not sure how you could just assume that across the board. Having a chance to be a go to guy on a Top 25 team might be exactly what a transfer is looking for after spending a couple years getting lost in the shuffle for an underachieving P5 school. Will a player of that caliber transfer to South Florida? No. But UC? Very possible imo.

especially when you hear alot of kids transfer for the sole reason of wanting to make the tournament. Its all but guaranteed UC will make the tournament every year they play in the AAC
