Rothstein also stated UC, Illinois, and NC State are still in the mix. His original tweet a week or two ago had those schools + Xavier, but today, he did not. Wonder if X is out of the running.

Was wondering the same thing..I thought it was going to come down to us or X anyways so if X is out I like our chances. Remember ASU just got a guy that would play his position I think for 2017 or 2018

No rain but we are having a lot of fires. He will see the smoke from the plane.
my son was recruited by them a few years back. He came home from his visit and said Dad to be honest if I went there I couldn't get anything done. The women on campus are beautiful and walk around wearing next to nothing. Lol!!

It would be a great place to go to school. Basketball wise, not that much.

@JonRothstein
NC State and Xavier are no longer potential landing spots for Kansas transfer Carlton Bragg, per sources. Visits Arizona State on 5/1.

Hopefully, we hear news of a visit set-up after he leaves ASU Tuesday. Think that would bode well for us.

Let's hope Diarra doesn't make a commitment to UC before that...

I'd think he and his "people" would know Bragg is considering UC and would wait to see what happens there. Right?

I have no idea how this works if Diarra calls Cronin this weekend and says, " coach, I'm in" but Cronin thinks Bragg will come too.

Exactly the issue. What if Cronin is open to accepting Diarra's commitment? I feel like he couldn't say, well hold on, we want to see Bragg first...Diarra would surely be offended. An interesting situation brewing.

Good problem to have.

Would be kind of a douchy thing to do, but he could accept Diarra's verbal and have him hold off on announcing it for a little, but wait on Bragg, and tell Bragg that despite Diarra's commitment, he guarantees he's got a spot for Bragg. Then if Bragg commits, he can tell Diarra that, unfortunately, there are no longer any spots open. I'm pretty sure this kind of thing happens more often than you'd think.

Rothstein did say he will "set visits", as in plural visits, so I think it's kind of good that he's looking at ASU first. Hopefully he'll finish at UC and commit right after leaving.

If Bragg is looking for a fresh start, great program, and less distractions... it's easy to see UC is the right choice. If he chooses elsewhere, I hope it works out for the kid. Super talented.

Would be shocked if he signed with ASU. They made a huge deal about hometown boy from SD ST same class same position looking to start. See what happens

He put up an Instagram thing of him on the plane pretty late heading home. I know, that's beyond creepy. Haven't heard one thing though. I wonder if we should jump on ASU threads. Maybe too much wondering with no scholarships available anyways?
