Help Support BearcatTalk:

Nice start to the class. Would love to land a couple of Bigs and still haven't given up hope that they can find another piece to help this years team.

about this time last year we got Cumberland Washington and Brooks so hopefully mick gets a few more in the coming weeks

How about this for a Crystal Ball?

Chad said few weeks back in one of our forums that 6'5" knock down shooter could be our first 2017 commit. Believe he said he thinks it will be done by July. Could be exactly what we need.

Here's a tweet from about him:

6'5" Trevor Moore from the Houston Defenders put together one of the better shooting performances with 5 three's in the first half

Here's his link to his AAu team:

Well done! Did Chad really call this way back when? This was the first post in the Trevor Moore thread.

Got a couple names on my radar. Will have a better feel for things once the evaluation period gets cranking next week...

When I watch the video of Moore from courtside films, why does it remind me of watching the upperclassman version of SK? Is it the #23? The quick shot release? Even the way he drove to the hoop looked similar.

Is it just that video and or am I reaching? Or did you catch any of that vibe seeing him in more games?

Would love to see JP Moorman and Malik Williams commit soon, of course to UC, and then we can focus our last scholarship on one last piece and it gives us a year to do it. Obviously this is probably a pipe dream but hey, after the Moore commitment I'm thinking big.

I don't think that should be considered a pipe dream. Maybe Malik Williams is, but no reason we shouldn't land a player of his caliber in every class.

I saw the similarities too. He's already a great shooter going in, so at very least he'll be able to get on the court right away and spread the floor. Will he be an SK like player... probably not, but he's definitely going to help open up some driving lanes for Broome, Cumberland, and Evans.

all those guys for two years, sweet!!!!!!

I like this pick up but I don't see him playing in front of Evans or Cumberland since he is one dimensional. He will add some quality depth as a nice role player or a scoring spark off the bench. This is the type of kid we should have picked up this year for depth on the perimeter. A specialist who we don't need to play the whole game.

His length will give Mick an opportunity to run more 4 guard sets next year. Based on Evans dedication in the weight room, he could potentially see time at the 4 in a 4 guard lineup and his lack of size could be hidden by playing the zone. Put Broome at the point, Cumberland at the 2, Trevor Moore at the 3, Evans at the 4 and Clark/Washington at the 5 and look out. That team should be able to put up some points. Time will tell but I am excited about getting a 6'-5" knock down shooter.

Good point about 4 guard sets

I agree. We might be running 4 guards a lot this year and next with the weaker post we have (bench wise), but I like it. I mean our best year was Cash Dixon Sk Parker and Gates. I know Scott and Moore can give us more than we expected and Maybe even Brooks

Wooohoooo! Way to go mick!

I can't belive he landed this three star, unranked on 247, stud without a private jet. I mean beating out Illinois State, Murray State, Old Dominion and Stephen F. Austin is pretty special and clearly shows a lot of people were wrong on how well Mick has been recruiting the last few years.
