Guys, it's been well known he wanted to go out of the city, and was a heavy osu lean. He could very well change his mind before he goes anywhere given he's committing this early, but this is a very, very competitive market and you will never get all of the top guys. That said, osu lost just about everyone of their recruits from the 2015 class who transferred out, and with Matta's health, who knows who the coach might be in 2018 or 2019. He's under some silent heat in Cbus.
Agreed! There are many reasons why kids chose schools. Handlers, apparel affiliation, money, Playing time, style, how many we have in the league and others. As I have said the recruiting game has changed considerably in the last 10 years or so. All the things I mentioned and more are factors. Its why I have such respect for the job Mick has done. I really can see it both ways. I understand longtime passionate fans who long for the good old days and want them back and I can see how Mick has survived on coaching skill and player development to get us to this point. A very difficult task. The question is with P5 affiliation and upgraded facilities can he get us back to the good old days. With the level of competition he will be facing in the new conference what will be the expectation then. The competition will be much tougher.
