What are the expectations.

I think we need to win Marquette to lock our tournament status.

Marq - Win and in situation IMO. They are playing as well as anybody in the country right now. Very tough game. Hard to pick against Marquette honestly.

Nova - Senior night on the road. People will look at this game and assume we should win but it is going to be tough.

I think we lose to Marquette and win vs Nova.

I think we will need to win 1 game in the Big East tournament which would put our record at 22-10.

Completely agreed. Beating Marquette gets us in, but I think beating Nova and winning a Big East tournament game also does.

This team is such a roller coaster! They find a way to pull out USF and I'm feeling much better.

If UC does not beat Marquette or win the Big East Tourney it will be nervous nelly time on selection Sunday.

I don't feel great about the game on Wednesday, but we showed we can pull out a huge win at home vs Louisville. I think as long as we win 1 of the last 2 and don't get blown out in the Big East Tourney we are in.

Beat MU or Nova and UC is in. You can continue to be nervous, Ralph. The rest of us will be excited with anticipation of WHERE the Bearcats are playing in the NCAA Tourney, not IF.

If they lose to Marquette, beat Nova, and then lose first game in the Big East tourney, do you feel they are in?

I think we are out if that happens, although there's a chance. RPI is too low to sputter in like that. Louisville was a great win but to me, did not seal the deal and neither would beating the Villanova Wildcats.

I wouldn't say UC would be out in that scenario, but it would all depend on if there were any surprises in conference tournaments, which would result in 2 teams getting in from a conference instead of 1.

I could very easily see UC winning both of the next two, losing both of the next two, beating Marquette then losing to nova, or losing to Marquette then beating nova. Basically, I could absolutely see anything happening the rest of the year with the bearcats. I could even see them winning the big east tournament, or losing the first round.

If I were a betting man, which I am, I would bet that UC makes the tournament.

I see us losing against Marquette and it being around a 10 point loss. I see us losing against Villanova around a 5 point loss. Then we win one BE tourney game and then get left out of the NCAA tourney. My reasoning would be because this team is so inconsistent and it would be par for the season.

And par for your support.

I really hope it is a sellout and the crowd is into it. Marquette is playing as well as anyone in the country but they are beatable.

I think UC beats Marquette and ends the discussion. I feel good about tomorrow night.

Obviously I hope I am wrong and I will be there supporting my team but that's just what my head is telling me. This season has been up and down so it really good go either way. But being a lifelong bearcat fan there is that undeniable feeling of
disappointment lingering that you can feel.

On a random note, when using my phone on this site the design face has changed. Has anyone else experienced this? Its not the normal design.

Honestly, I don't know how you can feel that way. I'm really worried about them getting run off the court by Marquette. Hope I'm wrong.

That said, I think we beat Nova on the road and 1 in the Big east tourney minimum.

Marquette is a tough tough matchup for anyone. If uc wants to be stay in the game, taking care of the bball vs that tremendous pressure is crucial. Last time they panicked

That said, mick will have them ready. If they trust mick and his gameplan, uc will win

I think Marquette is a long shot. I hope you are right jeff.

I'm actually starting to get really worried. If the Big East tournament started right now, we would play the winner of West Virginia and Providence. And if we beat whoever that is, we'd play Marquette again. A Big East tournament win is going to be hard in itself.

Potentially, we could lose to Marquette, beat Villanova and then play West Virginia (or UCONN) in New York, and likely need that win. Gulp. We've made it hard on ourselves man.
