Villanova has lost 5 games in a row, they are now 9-10 in Big East games. They will be in the NCAA Tourney.
 
It will be important that UC comes out focused tomorrow evening and plays a full 40 minutes. We saw what happened tonight when a team let their foot off the gas after building a large lead. DON'T get caught looking ahead to ND.
 
Villanova almost looked disinterested to me last night in the second half. They don't even remotely resemble the team they were in January.

I also found myself thinking what a good fit Jawanza Poland would have been for UC. As athletic and quick as he is, he would be great in the press. Shoots the ball decent and can get to the rim and rebounds. Would have been nice coming off the bench behind Rashad. But I love the team as it is too.
 
Loved hearing Fran F. Give UC some love during the UConn/Gtown game. He said you can't talk about the Big East without talking about Cincinnati. Fran showed Mick some love as well.
 
Man, it's too bad Gtown couldn't get it done or even resemble a decent team. Could hurt the 'cats as it's 2 of the big wins. Worst case scenario for UC is for the final four of the Big east tournament to be 4 teams they haven't beaten.
 
Bearcats energy sucked in the first half. Mentally they aren't there tonight. Spacing on the break has cost them 8 points. This is March. Don't be happy with just being there.
 
Much better first 8 minutes of the 2nd half. Very good ball movement. Allowing too much penetration.
 
Nice win. Liked seeing JP get some time and points. Great ball movement tonight. I think they will be jacked tomorrow against ND.

Gates was awesome. Great job by MC to have his team ready to play.
Strong game by Dixon as well.
 
the boys really seem to very comfortable and playing with confidence...always a good thing heading into tourney time!

Gates played very well except on the boards. Only had 5 rebounds. Was it just me or did it seem they were conserving energy tonight? Smart move to begin pulling people when the game was in hand.
 
It helped that Crater couldn't play in the second half. He's a good player and really gets them going. It certainly made things easier on them. Overall a good win tonight. They need to clean some things up and they will have to shoot much better from the perimeter tomorrow evening if they want to upset the Irish.
