They definitely pulled guys early. Smart move. Now they are primed while ND has had a longer layoff than used to. Nice.

It helped that Crater couldn't play in the second half. He's a good player and really gets them going. It certainly made things easier on them. Overall a good win tonight. They need to clean some things up and they will have to shoot much better from the perimeter tomorrow evening if they want to upset the Irish.

How much better do you want them to shoot? 57% and 5 of 13 from the 3 not good enough for you?

So proud to be a UC Bearcat fan. It feeeeeeeels soooooo good to be cheering on our team during March. They are playing so well and its been a great ride from start to finish. GO UC!

5 of 13 is okay but I'm just not sure it will be enough against ND unless their shot's are off.

I was very pleased with their overall FG%- a lot of that had to do with Yancy Gates and his play... hopefully he can carry it over.

I guess my main fear is that the game tomorrow evening becomes a shooting contest, Gates gets lost in the interior and we aren't able to match their depth of quality outside shooters.

I am confident this team will compete. I just hope they have an opportunity to win the game at the end, unlike the first time these two teams played.

Also, Cashmere Wright has to play better (Finding his shot wouldn't hurt either).

I'm being slightly more critical now jeff because I believe the expectations for this team have been raised- and rightfully so.

UC has gotten away with a lot of fouls in the interior

Yes but at the same time there were numerous occasions where SF big men just decided to push there way to the basket and our big guys were falling backward. I'd say at least three of them were charges that were not called.

My opinion, but the biggest reason the cats shot 57% last night was the fact that they're working the ball inside more. They need to continue doing this as it has worked well for them. 38% behind the arc isn't exactly shabby either.

Dion got hot last night and went 3-4... this team needs a shooter every night to get hot from the perimeter. Lots of guys have the ability to do it- nobody has done it consistently. We've seen Rashad catch fire, Sean, Cashmere, Dion... even Larry's had a couple games where he made several 3's.

The real question is whether or not they are giving the money they were paid back or not? If not, they are only screwing the Big East in making them spend more money on officiating and essentially giving themselves a paid vacation. That said, I am just glad they are not doing the Bearcats game tonight.

He straight broke the ankles of McGhee....nasty stuff! Not really sure that I would have put him to play D against Walker, not very smart.

It wasn't designed for McGhee to guard him, the play from UCONN made them switch McGhee to Walker. It was a good play call by Calhoun. Is it bad I actually feel for McGhee? I mean that will be played for years and he is going to constantly be shown with broken ankles! :D

Hoard and Chuck must be busy today or someone's asleep at the wheel... I was looking forward to their pre-game preview on GoBearcats.com- but alas, none has has come as of yet.

How can you leave Hans-bro alone when ND has the ball? Don't get that.
Offense looks shaky. I'd give the ball to Gates and let him shoot or kick it outside.
