Does anyone know if UC is supposed to be in any big pre season tournaments this year? Being in Maui a few years ago really helped our national recognition and I hope we can finally get into one again.

Also are there any big non conference opponents on next years schedule yet other than X?

Thanks

Agreed. It has been said that we are in the Las Vegas Invitational field for next season which pretty much instantly makes our OOC schedule ranked higher than last season. However, if you are looking for a marquee big game at home (besides X), probably not going to happen because of money.

I think we play Iowa State. No Maui here but I wouldn't go back after that Gonzaga game.

easy ooc

i dont mind the easy ooc for simple fact its worked. but i still wouldn mind seeing 2 or so legit games. im pretty sure this years ooc will be much better than years past.

Iowa St in Vegas
UNLV/Oregon in Vegas - UNLV is top 15 caliber, Oregon might be borderline top 25
Xavier
At Marshall
Wright St
Home game in Big East/SEC Challenge - hoping for Florida/Alabama/Vanderbilt

Anyone know if we are playing Miami next year?

I don't think we should play x anymore in the near future. Their administration and players are out of control.

They dont deserve to be on the same court as mick and uc

It needs to be canceled immediately

Are you kidding me I love playing Xavier the Brawl just fueled the fire for me.

Why? Whats next? They murder someone? Their whole team, coaches, and administration are thugs. Its not worth the safety risk to our players. Mick has worked hard against the media, fans, and internal figures to build the program back to an elite level status and you want to jeopardize that by playing an irrelevant mid major team in a high school conference filled with convicts from the administration on down??

Its time to end the crosstown shootout

Yeah, I'm tired of losing to X too, but I still want to play them. I just want to actually beat them.

If this game gets canceled and Mick is ok with it, I will lose some respect for him.

I have no issue canceling the series. It is not a "good" rivalry. Duke v UNC they share hatred but a mutual respect. This rivalry has gone too far IMO.

We have to replace them with a solid opponet if we do cancel it.

That's the problem right there. It makes sense to cancel it, but neither school has tons of top 25 opponents beating down their door to play home and home. If we can replace them with a similar program, do it. That's easier said than done though.

i don't know if you have ever been in a fight before, but making a jump from a punch to murder is outrageous. get serious. throwing one sucker punch and beating someone to death are in 2 different realms.

Especially since it was a UC player who threw the most vicious punch.

My thoughts exactly. I think we play it this year since we're at home and then cancel. Avoid going back to Cintas ever, imo.

Woah woah woah..... I live in New Hampshire and the reason why I have liked the bearcats since I was five years old is because of what you just described, I love the fact that we are a tough, routy, defensive, physical, high fllying team.
I dont want to be like duke in the way they are saints and never can do something bad. I loved the way yancy stood up for Guyn when he got pushed down to the floor. If you saw your brother get pushed like guyn did would you have just said hey hey break it up. I would go up to the guy that pushed my brother down and punched him in the face. We sit here and critisize yancy for that punch, but come on where is the line? We want them to be close like a family but they can't act like a family in the way they want to protect their teammate/(brother) Thats passion and thats what makes sports so great.

Do you realize that would make us look like cowards, I don't know how you guys are even thinking of canceling things, the opportunity that we could go over there and beat them on there court after the brawl, would be a greater victory than any regular season game would be. Not to mention you guys complain and complain on how bad are non conference is....... News Flash they are the best team we play every year in our OCC canceling this series would be the dumbest thing we could do.

I hate Xavier and I certainly hate losing to Xavier. That being said, we just need to beat those a-holes. X treats it like it's the entire season, which is really annoying when ultimately, we have much more important games in the Big East.

But I'd hate to stop playing them. I like hating Xavier. And I would like the opportunity to beat their asses. It's just a matter of our players getting up for this game. I don't think that will be a problem next year.
