Tharp is transferring from Kansas so that probably means Graham is going there. They also have 1 more scolly now.

I always kind of hoped Andrew White would transfer. I don't know why he doesn't. But as for Tharpe, I'm thinking Bill Self might have strongly recommended that he transfer. He has had some issues.

From everything that I've gathered over the past month or so, the following list is my personal opinion of 2014 seniors/transfers that are likeliest to sign with us, to least likely:
1. Jarvis Haywood
2. Lyrik Shreiner
3. Elijah Stewart
4. Justin Martin
5. Kevin Punter
These are the only 5 that I think we have a legit shot at.

I don't believe we are after Punter anymore and who knows what's going on with Martin yes teams aren't supposed to contact him right now but you know teams are reaching out, I think it weird you don't hear a single thing about him so that may mean he has told UC he is coming here and telling other teams he's already taken by us. As far as the top three you are right on and I believe Mick knows he will get two of the three.

Did I miss something on Punter? I'm not sure he should be on that list. I'd also put Stewart over Shreiner bc he's visiting. I haven't heard much about Shreiner officially scheduling anything.

We are the top for Haywood and top two for Shreiner so those two are most likely as far as Stewart yeah we are getting first visit but we are fighting 4 other teams for him.

I like our recruits but we really still need to round out the roster with another SG who can fill it up from 3pt range. I like Kevin Johnson and think he will develop into a good player but we need more firepower at that position. Sanders is decent in a reserve role but he's not athletic and can't get his own shot. Moorman might be the wild card.

Nah, I just know UC was on his long list. He's definitely a stretch. I almost didn't put him on the list, but I think there's still technically a shot.

I think Stewart visiting with Haywood and before Shreiner tells you which guy our coaches prefer. Plus Mick went to see Stewart in person. I don't think there's any way that Stewart actually goes on 5 visits either. But from a player's point of view, I can see why Shreiner would be #2 on that list.

I think Stewart is the top target but I think it will be much harder to get him than Shreiner.

I'm not saying that's the case, but why would that be shitty? That's recruiting, coaches don't want to be waiting for a recruit to commit only to find out in the end that they commit elsewhere.

No joke. That's just recruiting. Mick probably has 8 offers floating around out there for 2014 players that remain uncommitted. Always over-recruit. Sometimes it screws the players, but if it weren't like this, coaches would get screwed over far more, and they'd end up falling short of players. It would be much more of a mess.

You can't recruit one guy at a time to fill one slot. You don't turn down guys that want to visit hoping another commits. If there is mutual interest you put on the full press with as many guys as you can. If it truly is a case of first to sign gets last scholly then it's better to be honest about it than lie to them or to turn recruits away holding out for your favorite.
i get its all about recruiting but bringing in 2guys on same days and telling them we only have one spot left whoever signs their name the quickest on paper gets it. No way Mick operates like that in front of recruits and their parents. If he bringing 2guys on same day that means its two spots left. I'm basically just saying MARTIN isn't signed sealed and delivered

It does not mean that in any way shape or form. You recruit every single player you think you can improve your program (non legal and character issues withstanding). You can never ever stop because of the amount of scholarships that you do or dont have because you never know what may happen. It could very well be a possibility Mick only has one scholarship left on the table.

If Haywood has to sit out one year and Martin is only for one year then you can sign both right???
