Always thought he had potential at the 4 that I've never seen anybody at uc with. Bad news for Clark or Moore though.

Dang we all were thinking wing players and we get a PG and F. Ellis had to be a last resort. Not sure how I feel.

Exactly. Not sure I understand the thinking. I trust the staff I just dont totally get it at this moment. Have to let it sit for a few days.

Completely agree. Ending up with two lightly recruited JUCO players is not exactly what I had in mind.

Just because we don't hear about it doesn't mean it was a last resort. I heard about Ellis at the basketball banquet. The staff keeps things very close to the vest. They may have been waiting to announce both commits at one time.

Now I'm thinking one of clark or Moore will redshirt. That's a crowded front court. I'm glad Ellis is back. And Cobb really looks like he can score

Jack does Ellis project as a 4 or 5 in your opinion.

He can play both. Has such long arms and he kept growing. Can rebound and block shots and will be much more polished offensively than when we saw him the first time around. I think he'll challenge J-Law for the starting spot at the 4. I think Deberry, Quadri, and Strickland will battle it out for the 5. Hard to see someone not redshirting. Cats are now very very deep at the 4 and 5. Can definitely play the 5 though. Whatever spot he ends up at he is gonna see the floor for some decent minutes.

What was one of the things everyone was unsure of heading into this year? Lack of experience.

Granted, 2 JUCOs don't have D1 playing experience but they should be more ready to contribute than HS kids. I don't mind seeing Ellis back. I always thought the kid had tons of potential. Should be an interesting year next year.

Also, if you are going to take a flier, do it on JUCOs where they only take a scholarship up for 2 years instead of 4.

Yeah I could definitely see Clark or Moore sitting. Not a ton of minutes available for both.

thanks Jack.Really love the versatility Mick has assembled. Agree someone will have to red shirt. Hate to speculate on such a event but with all the depth I really can't see a someone on the roster wasting a year of eligibility if he isn't likely to see the floor. JUCO's who commit and only have 2 years to play must think they have a opportunity to see the floor sooner rather then later. Will be a interesting battle.

Agree with what you're saying. We still have no proven scorer. Heck we don't even have someone who can average 10 ppg at the D-I level. Shall be interesting.

Really would be interested in everyone's opinion. If you had to pick one player who you think would definitely be in the Starting line up next year, who would it be.
