Is anyone still holding out hope for Mason? I'm ready to roll with the 12 we got.

I'm holding out hope for a proven scorer, which Mason definitely is. But I don't necessarily think we're in trouble if we don't get one.

Originally I was all for UC going after Mason, but after looking at his stats and comments I think it would be best if UC doesn't pursue him. He is a high volume shooter and isn't a great passer while being part of a really bad team. I would much rather let Morman, KJ, and Cobb gain experience and develop into capable scoring guards. Next year will likely be more of a rebuilding year with all of the new faces. By the end of the season this team could be pretty good, but the best outlook is for the 15-16 season. Which is why I believe gaining experience this upcoming season is so important.
Not while playing for us, but if you give some players on our team 38 minutes a game and 19 shots a game whiltee playing in the MAAC - I'm sure we'd have a couple players that could put up big numbers. Not sure about 25 but I'd bet pretty close.

Are you really going to ignore level of competition?
we play a lot worse teams out of conference, I don't remember NOBODY lighting it up that's on roster.
Level of competition shows in their record. He might don't come here and score 20 a game but please don't act like he won't start or we don't want him.
Manhattan a give us a game next year. MAAC isn't AAC but its not bottom of barrel.
I can tell you I don't want him if he's got an attitude issue where he feels entitled to certain things. That kind of attitude can disrupt a whole team if all they want to do is shoot and never pass. The other players will eventually try to keep it out of his hands etc.
I am not saying he is an attitude problem...but from what I have read...he sounds like he could be...as well as his dad. I highly doubt we get him because we aren't going to promise him squat and other teams might promise him the moon.

How many players from this years final 4 teams averaged 20+ppg this season?
The best teams have balance with multiple playmakers. You don't want one guy dominating the ball every possession. You want unselfish players who will make the right passes and trust their teammates to make the shot. For one year we can live without a dominate scorer. Mason isn't coming here anyway because there is no way Cronin would succumb to Antoine's demands.

I am looking forward to a deeper and balanced team this year. last year was sad to see them wear out at the end of the year. But what a great year also!!
