Figured he deserved his own thread, as he has an official visit with us May 2.

Cincinnati will host JU transfer Jarvis Haywood (@ThatBoySmoove4) on May 2, he told ESPN. Soph. G also considering NC St, Temple, Richmond.

Give him a follow on Twitter (Twitter name is above). I followed him, tweeted "Enjoy your visit to Cincinnati bro" (which isn't against any rules, so don't freak), and he followed me back.

respect that all way bro. Makes them feel wanted and like superstars. I'm most of our guys friends on Facebook I don't got twitter though.

Following Mick, Cincinnati Bearcats and U of Cincinnati on Twitter. Seems like we should get a commitment during his visit.

I like this kids stats. He is 6 foot 4 and avg 16.6 pts per game with 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assist.

He was 6-13 for 15 against Florida st
7-11 for 19 against Wake Forest
5-9 for 16 against Florida

Kid can shoot. I like him the best of the guys we are after just because he has experience. Can he play next year? Really like Stewart and Shreiner as well. I like that they are all 6 foot 4 or 5 and they are athletic. Mick can teach anyone defense. Offense just some natural.

We could really use someone to step in right away and be that shooter. We could be very dangerous the next couple of years if we get two of these three.

Next year all I would focus on were the top 5 point guards in the class.

Around 9am this morning Jarvis tweeted "Well today is the day!" Wonder if that means a decision is coming today?

Has he made any visits?

After some searching, no, I don't think he has. All I can find is a tweet from Alex Kline (Rivals.com recruiting analyst) saying UC is expected to host Haywood for a visit last weekend. It was tweeted last Thursday, May 1. But I thought that visit fell through or something.

Haha. I tweeted at him that picture of Tupac wearing a UC shirt that's been going slightly viral and he retweeted it. So that's good I guess?

EDIT: He un-retweeted it. Guess he doesn't want anyone jumping to conclusions, haha. But he did reply to it "lmfao"

I love that pic of Tupac! Back during those days it was the cool/hip thing for "big names" to rep UC.

Jarvis Haywood Tweet:

Enjoying this visit so far. #UNCW

I guess its a no go on Haywood now.

Saw that tweet too. Wouldn't say it's a no-go but I'm not sure what happened. If it were a school like NC State I'd think we lost out on him. Now I'm thinking maybe we didn't even offer.

I think once Stewart showed as much interest as he did, Haywood moved down our list. Having to sit out a year is the deal breaker imo. If he goes to UNC-W, I hope he wins POY in his conference. I don't get why a UCF or USF wouldn't try to get him to stay in Florida for the rest of his career.

Look like Haywood may have just lost his spot at UNCW too

2014 Fishburne Military (VA) PG Jordan Talley committed to UNC Wilmington on his official visit tonight, per his coach.

Jarvis Haywood is transferring to UNC-Wilmington, per a source. Quality transfer for Kevin Keatts.
