Butler AD Barry Collier told me BU and Cincinnati are arranging a home-and-home that would begin next season at UC, 2016-17 at Hinkle.

Sounds great! This game would really help out with our RPI and OOC SOS and would be a great game to sell out next year, especially given the team we will have next year!

Lol, I literally posted the exact same thing in a different thread. Perfect timing ha! I've been wanting to visit Hinkle, makes sense now. :)

What are the other games already on the non conference schedule?

I know we are going to be in an event at the Barclay's Center with at least Tennessee, Nebraska and George Washington. Also obviously Xavier and now Butler. Not sure about the other teams we played this year, and Michigan starts in 2016-2017 right?

I thought mich was 15/16 and 16/17 with the football game in 16/17.

@VCU too, still unclear when the basketball series will start with Michigan there wasn't a definite date given in the announcement. I would love to see us start series with Villanova, Pittsburgh and West Virginia...of course Louisville too.

I thought I heard from Cronin a while ago Michigan is starting to renege on their basketball commitment. Not sure the details on it but for some reason I'm not expecting a home and home with Michigan in basketball.

The talent within 2 hours or so of us is ridiculous. No reason osu, uk, Louisville, and indiana shouldn't join xu and butler on our ooc. I would love uk as I think we could beat them next year and that could really turn into a fun interesting physical rivalry. I think we all agree Louisville should be on there no matter what. But those games would be great for rpi and awesome for the fans.

You are not kidding about location. I really wish with all of the realignment, conferences would just blow up and go to geography. Imagine this power conference,

Cincinnati
Ohio State
Indiana
Kentucky
Louisville
Purdue
Notre Dame
Michigan
Michigan State
Penn State
West Virginia
Pittsburgh

I know I am dreaming, but that would be awesome!!!

No Louisville?

Edit: sorry I can't read. I see it.

Cronin sent out a couple tweets last night and this morning. Not sure if he's being serious or just throwing something out there to see if it sticks.

Watching my old Murray St. Racers. We need a tough schedule next year. Looks like I need to call Steve Prohm and get a game set up!!

They have won at least 21 games each of the past 6 years, return 3 of their top 5 guys, and aren't really a recruiting threat to us. I personally would have no problem with it.

Awesome. Wouldn't mind us bringing in a good mid-major to fill out the home schedule as well. Valpo and Central Michigan both return most of their key players and could be top 50 RPI teams. Of course a bigger name would be better for attendance if possible.

I'm assuming that would be at minimum a 1 for 1 or a 2 for 1? I can't see why UC would agree to play @ Murray w/o requiring them to play at the Shoe.

That tweet said @Murray, not Cincy.

If the Murray State game happens then I'd like to see one more major conference team added to the home slate (Michigan?) right now we have @Butler, @VCU, @Xavier, possibly @Murray and two in Brooklyn...six games away from home is a lot for the non-conference which will help the RPI but takes away revenue from home games.

Edit: nvm Butler is at home
