Also Rothstein said UC would be hosting X in either Jan or Feb... I'm guessing neither team could work out a day that worked in the non conference.

But i believe its also during Rivalry week on ESPN so its the same week as UNC/Duke and maybe they wanted it to be pushed back late i dunno.

I can't wait though. I've never been to a UC vs X game and this year will be my 2nd year as a season ticket holder so Im gonna go for sure

It's a crazy experience. Unfortunately we have been on the losing end too much of recent years but the environment is off the charts. It's hard to explain but you can feel the pressure/tension/excitement in the air from warmups to finish. Even when the game is at home, it srill feels/seems like a lose/lose for UC. But I have always felt that way for close to two decades and I'm 30. Lol.

Its for sure a mental situation for UC players.. Its like the Reds vs the cards.. I don't the Reds believed they could ever beat the cards and I think UC feels the same way about Xavier.

I already thought the energy for games like Iowa st, Butler, Uconn and SMU were crazy crazy intense but i can't imagine what UC/X will be like.

Gonna be an interesting matchup this year, because we wont have Ellis or deberry but they wont have Reynolds or James Farr. Wont be as much of a battle down. I really wanna beat those guys.

19th*. Then yes, championship on the 20th. Saturday and Sunday. Should be fun. Would love to make the trip.

Well there are a couple sick days in the making. UC basketball + casino in my backyard? Pray for me

Mick's boy Jon Rothstein just Tweeted:

Duke's roster next season is comparable to what Kentucky had during the 14-15 season. Blue Devils are built to dominate. And they will.

Duke continues to separate itself as the clear team to beat entering the 16-17 season. Blue Devils have talent, depth, and experience.

2016 big man Marques Bolden has announced that he's committed to Duke. Blue Devils add another major piece.

I'm gonna be beyond sad if we lose to Rhode Island.

Yeah with Bolden going to Duke they are ridiculously stacked. Must be nice is all I can think. I don't think I'll ever know that feeling for my team.

They are looking like Kentucky two seasons ago

Cincy had that team 1999-2000.

Well maybe not that level of talent but the best talent in the NCAA that year with the best player.

Really good Lance McAlister interview with Jon Rothstein. Talks about X in the beginning, our OOC schedule, our potential 4 all-conference players in Caupain, Clark, Washington and maybe Evans.

He says we have questions on back ups at the 4 and 5. Good to hear a national guy who knows enough about our roster to give a real evaluation. I bet he knows our whole team off the top of his head.

He certainly does his homework when it comes to UC, but if you follow him on Twitter, he loves everyone. Thinks all teams are great. He routinely overhypes UC. It's just hard for me to take him too seriously.

He does tend to over-hype everyone. I do agree with him that the depth at the 4 and 5 are questions though.

Was my senior year at UC, sat in the student seats for every game. Nothing could compare.

I went to grad school that year just for the basketball. ;)

1st/2nd row of the student section all year. Flew to Chicago on vanguard for like $45, to see them in Chicago. Had great seats for NCAA tournament in Cleveland...where they would have been. Instead Michigan state was there as the #1 seed and I had to watch St. Louis play....and that kid (Love I think) almost hurt another player by sticking his leg out in the lane like he did when Kenyon got hurt.
