lots of travel and few rest days coming up. Cats got their work cut out for them. Shortening our rotation is never a good thing but on quick turnarounds those can be killers. Shaq was a key in defensive rotation and adds to our versatility at the 4 when Mick needs defense there. Our next 6 games:
2/4 USF
2/6 @ Memphis
2/9 @ UCF
2/13 ECU
2/18 @ Tulsa
2/20 UConn
We really could go until 2/18 without him, although I'd like him back for the Memphis game too.
If the Cats run the table and get to 28-6. League and conference champions what seed would you think they would get?

With how everyone keeps getting knocked off I was thinking 4 or 5.That might mean wins over UConn x3, Memphis/Tulsa at least x2, split with SMU, and maybe another shot at Temple. I'd assume that'd have to be a 6 seed range.
thats what I figureOur RPI is 57 right now - we're 4-6 against the top 100 with no 'bad losses' and I think if the season ended today we would be a 10 seed.
With that thinking, if we ran the next 9 - our top 100 record would be 7-6. Our top 50 record would be 3-3. Win the AAC tournament and assume our top 100 record would be 9-6. And again, no bad losses. I would honestly say 28-6 with those numbers (RPI in the top 30) would be a 4 seed.
Based on the RPI Wizard, they would be 28-6 (18-3) with an RPI of 18 with an SOS of 68 (assuming they play ECU, Tulsa and UConn in the AAC Tournament). That is probably a 5 seed, given the AAC bump, I'd put us at a 6 seed.If the Cats run the table and get to 28-6. League and conference champions what seed would you think they would get?
If we beat USF by 15+ and then turn around and play snail speed at Memphis but win, I'm fine with it. It might be what we need to do in order to handle the quick turn around and win.
Jacob adjusting to the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent is always a option. You also have to factor in game situations. If we are up my 7 with under 3 minutes to go and Cobb takes a 3, 5 seconds into the shot clock I will run out and tackle him.We aren't going anywhere in the tournament with that approach.
Obviously I'd take a win, but snail speed should never happen again imo. In any game.

Got you.The situation you bring up is very specific. I'm speaking generally over the 40 minutes game.
ESPN has Clark at a 26.77 PER. That is 61st in the country.
In Terms of Kenpom Offensive rating, he has Gary Clark ranked at #20 in the nation.
Need to get his %Poss up over 20% on the year however in conference play, he has been used on 19.8% of possessions that he is in the game for. Which is higher than the season average of 18%
He is a star in the making, I expect a great jr and sr year out of him, potentially even All american as a SR
He's improved in nearly every category from last year
